    Description

We are an educational institution working under a Baptist church. We have a pre-primary and primary school project reaching vulnerable children in Mombasa Kenya to give them quality elementary education. We are accepting children from all religious background. our mission is to give a poor child educational support.

In line with this, we are resently embarked in classroom building projects for the safety of our children and good space for learning along with borehole construction so we may supply enough water to the community and school.

The project has been running for some years now. We thank God for the smiles we keep putting to families' faces.

Am a pastor, married, with three daughters enjoying serving God and the community.

We are located in Chaani Changamwe 1km from the airport and the Mombasa port, and 5km to the city center.

The project is within the community, interactive to the slam families every moment.

    We care.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Since we have a diversity of cultures, volunteers will learn new ones especially African foods, dances, games and native languages among many.
They will have an opportunity to contribute with their hands and minds, to see our world and open our children's hearts to new and foreign worlds. They will be immersed in a community where English is well spoken, but which primarily uses Swahili. Our way of life may be different, but we will enjoy sharing it with you.

    Accommodation

I believe staying together with our families in the same house will promote more cultural integration. Majorly, we would host up to three visitors in our house.

Beds are equipped with a mosquito net. The door can be locked and no one else will be coming into your room.
The water in the bathroom comes from a borehole. Electricity is stable with an extension cord in your room. There is good wifi signal in the room. We provide the bedsheets, but you should bring your own towel. We can help with washing the linens as well as your laundry.

Food, safety and security are our greatest concern to our visitors.

We have variety of food, some common and other entirely different. Depending on the volunteer, we'll adapt them to local food progressively as days go by.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Volunteers will definitely have enough time to rest depending to ones ability. There will be some days off work.

We have local volunteers whom we will assign to help the visitor know the community and move around.

Beaches are not far,if they may want to spend some time at the beach.

Too they will have opportunity to shop around and even visit local tourism sites like Akamba Arts and Kisii soapstone Arts which are on our area.

They too may plan for a safari, due to high cost of a safari, we will only give guidance.
