Having Nicole with us was wonderful. She was so quick to pick things up and brought great positive energy. She went above and beyond - and took it upon herself to help early morning until late into the evenings. We were even able to entrust the entire household and all the animals to her while we went away for some days on a couple of occasions.
… read more It was great to have someone so responsible and self- motivated. She had a lot of firsts with us but was not afraid to try new things - from caring for animals to building fires in the wood burning stove to power hosing the yard. She even lived through a storm with no electricity for several days with us.
If she saw something needed to be taken care of, she didn’t need to be asked.
She came up with cute names for the chickens and renamed the outdoor cats as she saw fit. She admired the sky and wild Irish weather daily - reminding us how beautiful our home is. She made sure our home was clean and looked good. She took up baking some delicious scones, bread and crumbles. In short, Nicole was a breath of fresh air. She is super easy going, helpful and fun to have around. We kept extending her stay and tried to convince her to never leave. We miss her very much and really hope she comes back again!!

Wow! How do I even start to express how grateful I am to Caroline and Brian for my magical experience with them? It started with 6 weeks then turned into 3 months and finally ended at six months - which I still cannot believe as everything just flowed so easily and it didn't feel like that much time at all. There is always something you can do. Caroline is a whirlwind of energy and almost impossible to keep up with - but it is fun trying. I came there with no experience in taking care of 30 animals, helping with a house full of people and harvesting vegetables from a garden. They are funny, down-to-earth, kind and loving, and they have a place in my heart.
I stayed at Caroline and Brian's for two weeks in October. This was a great experience and I had a wonderful time getting to know the family and all their furry friends (especially their dog Hector). The house is laid back however there is definitely lots of work to help out around the place with! If you find yourself looking for a Workaway in

What does taking care of animals mean ? Well, it's feeding them, changing their water, cleaning their habitats, picking up their droppings and spending time with them. For my part, nothing complicated, but I prefer to specify (that here or in other places with animals), you should not be afraid to get your hands a little dirty and above all, you must love animals and use common sense ! If you have these qualities, in addition to being easy to talk to and you like to laugh, then go help Caroline !You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I had a really good time with Caroline and her family. I stayed with them for almost three weeks. What could I say to describe my wonderful stay with Brian and Caroline?
Well... Words wouldn't be enough... I couldn't have dreamt for a better place to stay. I've been a Workawayer for about 5 months now and this has been my best experience so far.
Brian and Caroline (and all the family) are incredible hosts! Easy-going, friendly, nice, they made

They are the family I had the most difficult time saying goodbye to. They became my Irish family.
I didn't feel like the job was a job, I was just another member of the family helping with the chores.
Anyway... Thanks for everything guys!
See you very soon 😁You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Caroline and Brian were friendly and accommodating hosts.
There was an easy going and positive atmosphere in their home.
The work was straightforward, in the garden and some painting indoors.
A hike up Mount Brandon which I joined Brian for was a cool experience to have.
They are open minded and welcoming people so it was a pleasure to talk.
Thank

Conor is a lovely genuine guy and it was a pleasure having him stay with us. He was always so tidy, neat and cleaned up after himself. Conor helped us with our garden and he also did painting. Great worker and great attention to detail.
Would highly recommend Conor and would gladly welcome him back anytime.
Best of luck on your travels!!

I had such a wonderful time at Caroline and Brian's place, I don't even know where to start. Everyone in this family that I met was incredibly welcoming, so that it took no time at all to feel at home in this busy house. It's never too busy to have a good laugh though, I think there wasn't a day that I spent without a smile on my face. The animals
… read more are a lovely and slighty - but definitely in a good way - crazy bunch and I'm pretty sure they've got that from their owners :P I spent my days looking after the animals, helping in the household, going for walks around the village, laughing so much I felt like I was working on my six-pack and increasingly wishing I could just stay longer. The public transport is basically right next door which makes it easy to explore the beautiful County Kerry on your days off! I said goodbye partly laughing and partly crying because I'm really sad to leave but also really grateful to have met these people. I know I'll be coming back, if only to get my hair dyed again 😍 thank you for everything, all of you, I can't wait to come back!!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
