My partner Ibey and I run an eco-friendly café and hostel located in the town of Minca, near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. We receive travellers from all around the world who seek a peaceful retreat in the mountains, surrounded by regional birdstock and wild flora.
Locally there is a lot to do, i.e. yoga, trekking through the mountains, bird sighting, and visiting local indigenous communities.

Helping with Tourists
Our café-hostel receives travellers from all around the world who seek cultural exchanges with the locals and other foreigners. Not only it's a very peaceful place in close encounters with nature, it also serves as a fun location to meet new people. We can also teach Spanish in exchange for the help!
We are embarking on structural renovations and we need helping hands to work on eco-conscious tasks.
We seek volunteers with knowledge in carpentry, furniture building using pallets, construction and composting to sort out a eco camping we are designing. We also need people to volunteer at the reception and welcome tourists to the hotel.
We offer accomodation in the premises of the hostel, we have comfortable dorm rooms with a shared bathroom. There are several common areas that can be used to rest during te day. We provide breakfast in our café. The town is in very close quarters so it's very easy to find eateries with local food as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
We are on a walking distance from the bustling town centre, however the hostel is secluded. From our location there are several hiking trails that lead either to the river or further into the mountains. We constantly accomodate tourists who seek a peaceful retreat, so we encourage preserving the quietness.
