  • Description

    Description

We are two couples who renovate an old house from 1906. We try to do as much as possible by ourselves, so it's quite a slow process. The house has a huge garden as well. There are always different projects in the house and the garden, so everybody could find something that suits his or her interests.

    About us:
We are Henry, Barbara, Dennis, Sonja (36 - 45), Karin (Henrys' mum) and Bruno (Dennis' and Sonjas' son, 3 years old). We met in Hamburg and after getting to know the house and the area we decided to move to Henrys birth house and renovate it.

You live with us on the same floor and share meals. We often have lunch together and most days we also sit together in the evening. If the weather is nice we spend our evenings in the garden, have bbq and make a fire. We used to travel a lot which we cannot do at the moment because of the lack of time. So we are happy to invite people to our site and listen to their stories.

    Help

We have a lot of different projects. The house is in many ways more a construction site than an ordinary living place. So there is basically every task from reparing, renovating to organising things. It would be great, if you could help us somehow with the house. If you are not manually skilled you can still help us cooking, food shopping or sometimes cleaning. There are also a lot of things that needs to be done in the garden.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have one guest room. It is on the same floor as our rooms and we share a toilet. On our floor we don't have showers, yet at the moment we are about to build a proper bathroom. There is a very nice house in the garden with toilets and showers, which we use as well. We share different meals, depending on our individual schedule which varies from time to time. You can access the fridge and just help yourself and join us for the group meals.
There is also a shelter in the garden with a bed, a little table and a dry separating toilet. If you prefer some more privacy you can also stay in this place. We can still share meals or meet in the garden or the house but you can also enjoy some time by yourself. The shelter can hold two people that don't mind sharing a bed.
