Description
MARHABA! Greetings!
We're a close-knit group of Lebanese friends managing an authentic rural camping site nestled beside the river in Ain-Dara village. More than just a campsite, we're on a mission to reconnect people with their roots while preserving traditional ways of living. Our focus is on self-sustainability through organic vegetable cultivation, mushroom farming, and the application of permaculture principles.
But that's not all – we're also deeply committed to nature building, which involves constructing eco-friendly structures using locally-sourced materials like earthbags and wood.
if you're passionate about sustainability, eager to learn new skills, and ready to make a positive impact on the world, we'd love to have you join us at our campsite. Come be a part of our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, we can make a difference!Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We invite volunteers to embrace independent living and connect with the land's offerings. Engage with a diverse community, savor local cuisine, and participate in occasional events like arts, performances, and eco-tourism rides. Experience traditional life, including herding sheep and goats, inspiring alternative lifestyles. The nearest supermarket is a 10-minute walk. Expect solitude at times, which can be enriching yet challenging. Without city distractions, confront longings and fears, leading to deep self-reflection and connection with nature. Be prepared for simple accommodations and the journey of self-discovery.
Help
We're seeking travelers to assist in gardening, mushroom farming, nature building, campsite maintenance, workshops, and outreach. If you're passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute, join us at our campsite!
