    Description

We are a married couple of men. One is Spanish and one is American. The American is a writer. We speak Spanish in the house. Our house is big - 5 bedrooms. We offer a large private bedroom. The room has views of the river and the salina (where they make salt) with pink flamingos and all other kinds of seabird. We are right in the middle of the historic part of town - just a block or two from the main restaurants and bars. Our town is a primary destination in Summer because of our beaches. We are 15 minutes by Ferry from Cadiz. We are 9 minutes by train from Jerez. One hour by to Seville. The apartment is about a 7 minute walk from the train station. There is direct bus service from our town to Madrid, Cordoba, and Granada.

We speak Spanish. One of us is from the area, the other is a writer who has an avid in the culture and history of Spain. We can help you travel around the sights of Andalusia. We know a lot about the history from the Phoenicians down through the Roman, Arabs and Castillians. The town and area is packed with history. Columbus sailed from the river right in front of the house. The river was also the sight of the Battle of Guadalete, which was the Arab invation of Spain in 711 AD. The river got its name from a battle that never happened between the Greeks and the Phoenicians several hundreds of years before Christ was born. We both love the arts and know much about Spanish art and literature.

This may include painting, cleaning and organizing of closets, repair of a watering system (or other small, similar chores), planting, general cleaning of the apartment. We would trade 2 hours of work for the accomodation. We would be very flexible with scheduling the hours. We would not provide food, but the kitchen (and its a very large one) is available to use. We would be most comfortable with a gay male, but would consider anyone. We are looking for someone who is interested from the 1st of July until the 15th of July, 2019 (more or less).

We would be flexible with the work time so that you may travel if you´d like to. We are right on the coast - just between Cadiz and Jerez. There are other charming beach towns all around us. We are also very close to lovely Pueblos Blancos (the white mountain villages). The town is well served with public transportation. Our house is a very short walk to the train station. We know Andulusia very, very well and will help you not only travel, but really understand the area.
