Description
Hello everybody :))
My name is Vit, I am 38 years old, originally chemical engineer. But ... Being in the nature and feel that we are part of the nature is the best thing I know. Part of the year I spend at my place, the rest of the year I travel around the globe. So why not to have people on their journey at my place and in some way I can keep traveling in your stories and experiences ?!?!?!
I moved in a property, where my grandparents lived and where I want to create a place with touch of ecological attitude and implement some elements of permaculture.
It is located in the vilage called Dolní Bečva in Beskydy mountain under holly mountain Radhošť in the Wallachia region. Just and easily - almost at the end of the world :)
This place shouldn´t be a slavery, but a place where you can find some of your basics, which we lost (covered) in this hurry and fast-living era we are living in. I am open to new points of view, discussions, experiences, experiments, learn something new, etc.
In the past I used to have animals (chickens, goats and sheep), but this period of life I still feel like traveling in the winter time, so it's not really possible (maybe I'll have just few sheep to "cut the grass", still not sure).Types of help and learning opportunities

Help
Mainly it's all about : 1) the house, 2) the garden and 3) collecting wild herbs, berries and all kind of thing which Mother nature is providing.
1) Well, there are plenty of projects to do ... Maintain the house and make some renovation and restoration - PURE DIY :D plus keeping the house clean (as much as possible :) and making our own bread ...
2) Another part of work (or joy??? :D) is the land ... Where to start??? ... Garden of course, compost, some grass cutting by scythe (I can teach), cutting bushes, collecting herbs, cleaning... Then, I have 6 apple trees, 1 cherry tree and 1 pear tree, so in the season we harvest and prepare some products of it that we consume. (apple juice, compote, puree, ...), as well I would like to make happen (construct) outside place, where it would be possible to have a hot bath even in the cold days... A small pond is another project too.
3) And the last part is just going around and looking for what can we collect ... Herbs, berries, roots, ,mushrooms, etc., etc., etc. and making products out of it (syrups - from dandelion, thyme,.... pesto - bear leek, nettles, collecting herbs to make tea, when it's time of raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, strawberries we make marmalade).
Well ... I prefer when everyone works on the task what the person likes and when it all organically flows. (Of course there are some necessities and preferences what to do :) The aim is that we create something meaningful, we work in peace and we create some harmonic co-existence. (as much as possible, nothing is peferct :)Languages

There are rooms in the house with beds, so you can have your own room if there are few volunteers here... Or share the room if there are more people, or camping in the garden ... Possibilities are infinite :))))
What else ...
Nice nature all around. I have a slack-line, so you can try to find your balance :) Or we can play chess??? I can borrow a bicycle - very close is cycling route "Bečva" - around Bečva river. You can go to holly mountain Radhošť - 6km hiking path and you can continue to see the statue of pagan god Radegast and architecture on Pustevny hill (means hill of hermits, they use to live there in the past). In the summertime you can have a bath in the cold brook just few steps from the house, swim in the river or nearby dam, etc. Or just go to close town Rožnov (4km) to see Wallachian Open Air Museum. :) Or I just love to disaper in the woods. Or just being lazy :)))))
And of course!!! Try local food from this region ;) I love specific sheep cheese called "brynza" .Sheep breeding was very traditional in this region :) And cake "frgály" !!! woooooooooow!!!A little more information

We talked a lot about political topics and differences between our cultures. Good luck with your studies!!!
PS: The water is running!!! :)))
Almost everything was perfect, from the food (Vit is a very good cook) to the scenery to the people (Dolni Becva feels pretty remote, but it's easy to get to Roznov by bus or by bike; it's only about 5 kilometers).
Vit is a fantastic host, and it was a pleasure to… read more

He is a very nice and really relaxed guy, with a motto "do what you want". If you feel like cutting grass - you can do that. If you feel like digging - there is some of that, too. And if you feeling under the weather, tired from your travels and just want a day off just sleeping and reading - that is OK… read more
