Description
Hello, I'm Giuditta, 50, in 2020 my husband and I moved away from Milan to Cascina Costabella, a country house located on a hill with a panoramic view of the vineyards of Monferrato (in Piedmont).
After having renovated the house, we have recovered the magnificent garden that surrounds the property, where it is possible to observe many botanical species, more than fifty kinds of roses and to walk among the flowers and shrubs that offer surprises in all seasons.
Now I live alone and love to meet people, share with them the spaces that we have carefully created.
I like cooking, reading, taking walks in nature.

At Cascina Costabella we will work together in the garden, prepare meals and share moments of everyday life. You will be able to meet my friends and, if you like, we will make some excursions to places of culture, art and we will come into contact with an ideal territory for curious travelers in love with nature and beauty.

*** Recovering an old garden ***
Our romantic garden is really very large, during the late winter I would like to prune the plants, clean and tidy the garden, and prepare it for spring.
I host Workawayers to help me in then garden and around the house.
You don't need to be a professional gardener, we will work together and the garden will teach us a lot! :)

Accommodation
I offer a room inside the house, located on the first floor, overlooking the garden.
The rest of the common areas are on the ground floor of the house, where there is our living room-study, the dining room and the kitchen, the terrace and the small porch, overlooking the hills and a grove, where small nocturnal birds live.
As part of the exchange, the food for the preparation of the main meals will be at my expense. We could prepare the meals together, so that this is part of the cultural exchange, if you wish. All meals are gluten-free since I must not eat gluten (I'm celiac), but they are still tasty!
What else ...
The area is rural, so it’s important to keep in mind that we are in a small village with limited connections to nearby towns, only a few buses on weekdays. There are not many leisure activities, but if you are looking for a quiet place and enjoy nature walks, this is the right place for you.
In free time we can take some trips together, to visit Monferrato, where history, art, architecture, traditions and craftsmanship coexist in an extraordinary landscape, all to be discovered.
