  Description

  Hello :) We are Hildur, Kristján, Heiðar Ágúst and Ársæll Rökkvi, family of 4.
  
  Our family consists of me and my husband and our two lovely boys (five and seven years old) and our dog Vala. I am a teacher in an elementary school, and my husband works as a mechanic.
  
  I work as a science and mathematic teacher in our small-town elementary school.
  My husband works as a mechanic in his family owned auto-repair shop. In the summertime we are going to run a small bistro here in our town and are looking forward to it.
  
  Our older boy who is seven years old now is in 2nd class in our small-town school. His favourite classes are swimming and sports. He is really happy an funny kid. He likes to play outside with his friends and he also like to play computer games. Our younger boy is 4 years old at the moment. During the day, he is in a kindergarten. He is very playful and likes a lot to play outside, for example in our stable where he just entertains oneself with his outdoor toys.
  
  We have a stable close to home, with few horses, sheep, and rabbits, which is kind of our family hobby.
  We have a Icelandic sheepdog called Vala. She is very sweet and even knows how to smile. We also have a stable cat named "Blómi".

  We live in a small town called Bolungarvík in the beautiful region of Westfjords in Iceland. There are about 1000 individuals living in our town, so it is quite small but friendly. Only 15 minutes away is the capital town of Westfjords, called Ísafjörður. In the summer, it is quite easy to travel and see some of the stunning natural landscapes around. During the wintertime, it's possible to enjoy winter activities like cross-country skiing, for example.
  
  People call Vestjords, the area we live in “ the best kept secret of Iceland”. So if you want to experience something exceptional this is the place to go.

  You have to know some basic cooking and it would be extra nice if you have some experience in cooking :)
  You have to like children have at least some experience taking care of them.

  We have two floored house with a garden located in Bolungarvík, Westfjords, Iceland. The workawayer would have her own room with internet access and a possibility to borrow our car when needed.

  Bolungarvík is characterized by a close-knit and friendly community. We have some local events around all year such as: "aldrei fór ég suður" music festival during Easter, "sjómannadagurinn" festival in honour of seaman as well as many small towns local events around during summer.
  
  The Westfjords are known for its natural Beauty. The region boast stunning natural landscapes, including fjords, mountains, and coastal areas. Bolungarvík, being situated in this region, breathtaking views and opportunities to explore nature.
  The region experiences notable seasonal changes, from the long days of summer to the winter months with opportunities for activities like cross-country skiing. The contrast in seasons adds to the diversity of experiences.
