Tourism Development NGO welcome you to come and help us build a new rural tourism trail in beautiful southern Armenia! We are a small NGO working to develop eco-tourism in the far south of Armenia. We are looking for help designing and marking a new 44 mile trail that travels through mountains, forests, and rural villages.
Help with Eco Projects
Volunteers will have the opportunity to experience first hand armenian hospitality, cuisine, and way of life, specifically in rural villages. They will also get to enjoy the seldom seen national parks and state reserves that exist in this region of Armenia.
We are looking for volunteers who have experience making maps with GPS and can help us plot points to create a trail map for the area.
Volunteers will spend the nights with host families in the rural villages that the trail travels though. They will have a private bedroom in the house. Host families will provide traditional armenian meals for their guests.
Kapan is approximately 6 hours south of the capital, Yerevan. Transportation is available from Yerevan to Kapan every day and costs $7-$12 dollars each way. From Kapan to the villages we will provide transportation.
