    Looking for someone for the Month of September for child care .

    We are fully booked up until 31st August 2024.


    We are looking for a Bubbly, energetic, mature person who will interact with our Kids and be Part of our family life and routine. If your a person who is very shy and quiet and wants to be Alone in your bedroom all the time, your Not the right person for us.

    We are a family of 5, three kids ,a school going boy Micheál 10 yrs old and a girl Amy 8 yrs old and our Toddler Paddy born Novemeber 2021, (currently 2 half years Old). Paddy has 1 nap per day ( 1pm- 2.30pm), bed at 8.30pm.

    Micheál plays button accordian and Amy plays Concertina and Irish Tin Whistle. 🎶

    Very lovable, outgoing and easy going children. Love the outdoors. We have our own Vegetable garden outside the front door also. We must set a New veg garden in April 2024.
    Kids love going there to get food for lunch or dinner.

    We Live on a Farm in a quiet peaceful countryside. My husband (42yrs)is a Sheep Farmer, Sheep Shearer and Fencing Contractor. Wife (37yrs)a part time Nurse in local town, work 2 days per week.

    We live in a two story, 4 bedroom house, which is located in a scenic, quiet, peaceful area and is a 25 minute drive to Kenmare tourist town which is very busy in the summer. Also located on the Wild Atlantic Way. We go into town 4/5 days a week.

    Bus transport departs Kenmare town 11 times daily to Killarney town and cork city. There is a Train station in Killarney town also. Plenty to see and do, walks, swimming, cycling, fishing, mountain climbing, horse riding etc . Swimming pools / gym in kenmare town.
    Kids have a large outdoor play area attached to house ( off kitchen door) and can freely go out and in and is safe.
    Every chance we get, the kids love going for long walks near our home.
    You can borrow my bicycle also if you like.

    We are looking for a Workawayer with Good speaking English, to help mind our kids, Mainly Paddy our Toddler in our home and help around the house. 2 older kids in school 9am-3pm.

    I only work 2 days per week nursing in our local town.

    I know my shift a Month in advance, so u will know your times and days in advance and can then plan for your days off.
    There are a lot of au pairs in kenmare, Killarney and cork, in which you could meet up with on your days off.

    Possibly help out 3 days a week to mind the kids and help around the house. I.e. vacuum, mop, cook, laundry and clean up after kids. You Might have to mind the odd Saturday also.

    Micheál ( Age 10yrs) and Amy ( Age 8yrs) goes to school Monday- Friday 9am-3pm.

    You will have your own double Bedroom en-suite ( with shower also) downstairs. Family sleeps upstairs.

    We have 5 sheep working Dogs, 1 pet Lamb, 1 cat named Daisy and plenty sheep & lambs, cows on our farm. You will get the opportunity to see my husband shearing the Sheep also and possibly bailing silage/hay and getting to know our culture and way of life.

    Your own double bedroom ensuite downstairs with shower also. Family sleeps upstairs. Your own Tv and a DVD player, with a selection of dvds to choose from and English reading books& materials. We have 2 Televisions , Wifi, Sky TV. With regards to meal times, the day you might mind the kids for the evening, you might make dinner for 5 pm. Other days Mom will make it. We can share culinary ideas etc also. Fridge will be stocked at all times with food and help yourself whenever. Any dietary requirement you can let me know.

    I've also made up a folder with brouchers and information on all the tourist attractions near by.
    We also have a folder made up of all the Workawayers who have stayed with us ( 32 people so far 😀), as we joined this website in 2017.

    You can use my library card also if you would like to borrow books to read.

    Plenty to see and do on your days off. Our Lambing season at home is end March and the Month of April 2024 and Sheep shearing season June-August. So you\'ll get to see a lot also.

    A famous waterfall called Gleninchaquin waterfall within a few mins drive from our house. Also a lake for swimming or fishing can be used and is also few mins from house and can be seen from house.

    The local town called Kenmare 25 min drive from house and we nearly always commute daily in and out. Buses leave the town nearly every Hour and go to other various towns , e.g. cork City, Killarney, Tralee . You can enjoy loads of boat trips locally, kenmare Arts & Theater center, horse and pony trekking, swimming, fishing, hill walking, golfing, bus tours,rock climbing, shopping , local food markets,etc, not forgetting the Ring of Kerry Tour.
