Lea stayed with my daughter and me for a total of 11 days and was an absolute delight hence why she initially stayed with us for 7 days and a week later we had her back for another 4 days. She was warm, open and showed interest in our lives so accordingly we spent quite some time at the dinner table exchanging ideas and talking about our lives.
… read more Nevertheless, Lea was just as comfortable spending time on her own in the home or seeing local sights.
I had Lea help out with various tasks both inside and outside the house including the following:
* General housework
* Cleaning of windows both inside and outside
* Cooking
* Painting the exterior of the house
* Gardening including widening a creek, planting and weeding
* Leaf blowing
* Oiling of outdoor furniture
Lea was happy to do whatever I asked of her and did everything with gusto. I couldn't recommend her more highly as both a workawayer and as a person.

… read more share. What I appreciated the most was that they involved me 100% in their life in the Adelaide Hills. We cooked together, had dinner together, went to the botanical garden/to a pub/to a festival and much much more! In addition to many profound and interesting conversations, we always had fun together. I felt like being a part of their family!
The work has always been fair and fun. We worked together in the garden or I helped with different things in the household. Luka & Anna were very grateful for my support and I could arrange everything by myself.
I definitely recommend staying with Anna and Luka in their beautiful home in the Adelaide Hills!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Ana stayed with us for four days in which we exchanged many stories about our lives and I'm sure learnt more about the culture from which we each identify with. Ana was helpful inside the home cleaning and cooking - she's a fastidious cleaner and is very confident in the kitchen i.e. is a fabulous cook and baker and can cook both veg and non-veg

Anna agreed to host us on very short notice and for just a few days. We had a great time helping out around her house. The location is beautiful in the Adelaide Hills. Her home is wonderfully kept and the accommodations were very nice with our own bedroom and bath. We shared meals and easily accommodated both vegan and non-vegan diets.

… read more our limited time, we mainly did odd jobs around the house like replacing cabinet knobs. When we were not working, Anna gave us many tips about seeing Adelaide and the surrounding areas. She really is quite knowledgeable. Anna is a wonderful conversationalist with many stories to share. Leaving Anna and Luka’s place was more like leaving a friend’s house rather than someone we had just met. And she sent us on our way armed with lots of information for our next adventure in the outback!! Who knows, someday we might get to spend an adventure together in the even further outback!!Feedback
