  • Description

We are a family, husband Ulf 59, wife Hilde 57 and our 18 year old son Samuel. We live on an old farm build in 1870, which we bought in 2012. It is a Tradional Norwegian Nordlandslån with a huge barn and the Stabbur (garden house). We have an organic Forestgarden with fruittrees, berrybushes and herbs. We grow different kinds of vegetables and we have some chicken, cats and our dog; border collie Balder.

We live in one of the most beautiful places in Norway. Tingvoll is a historic town, with a very old church and ancient rockcarvings in the surrounding mountains. You can go fishing at the fjord, hiking in the mountains and visit famous spots like Trollstigen, Atlanterhavsroud (scenic coastal road) or Innerdalen.
In Tingvoll it's a short walk to everything; shops, library and healthservice. Tingvoll is home to a research center in organic agriculture: Bioforsk and Norsøk.

We believe in cooperation, where people bring their skills and we can learn from eachother based on equality in a free and peaceful environment. We expect workawayers to respect our values, just as we have respected the many different people from all the world that have lived with us.

We believe you can learn a lot about Norwegian culture here. We live in the middle of mountains, fjords and forests, We have a hiketour on our land, the Church mountain. Several other hiking spots are nearby.
This is an old farm from 1870 with a lot of tradition and a historical interior.
Hilde is a chef and, if you like, you can learn to cook traditional Norwegian food and learn how we grow many ingredients in our Forestgarden.
Hilde knows a lot about Permakultur, how to grow the land. She also knows how to have chicken, ducks, goats and lamas, one day in the future when we have became a team here, we plan to have both lamas and goats. At the momente we have our free happy chickens since we have a lot of projects going on renovating this old farm,- One day is just one day:) But when we become a team we can be able to take care of more animals again.
In the barn we have a workshop where it's possible to do woodwork, but also a games room with tabletennis etc. You can find the right balance between work and play time.
