Description
We are a family of five, Valentina, Duccio, Elio, Mira, Timo (12-10 e 5 anni) living in a large house on a hill between Liguria and Tuscany. We love the view of the mountains (Apuan Alps) and the sea. We enjoy walking and cycling in the surrounding area.
We have a large garden around the house and a plot of land where we grow olive trees and have planted fruit trees. We enjoy gardening.
We recently adopted five chickens and a rooster, all of which have excellent temperaments.
A one-year-old kitten keeps us company. She is independent, docile, and comes and goes on her own.
We have a large room where we do various activities, including yoga, meditation, dance, and mindful movement.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We live in a beautiful area near the coast, where you can visit:
Carrara, an artistic community
Sarzana, a small historic town
The coast: Lerici, Tellaro, and the Cinque Terre
Many villages accessible via hiking or cycling trails
Every week, we host yoga classes and offer workshops and courses in various disciplines (CERAMICS, WOOD CRAFT, YOGA AND MEDITATION, MINDFULLNESS, BODY WORK..)
We are part of a network called the "Scuola Contadina", which organizes courses to share ancient knowledge.
Help
We would love to welcome people who can help us with some little daily works around the house, like gardening and general maintenance.
We love to go on vacation whenever possible! We need a little help with our cat (checking food and water) and with the chickens (making sure they have food and water and cleaning the coop every 3-4 days). In our absence, accommodation will be provided, but not food (volunteers will be responsible for their own food...except for eggs!).
We'd love to spend some time with the volunteers to show them the various activities.
