Description
I am a retired Art Teacher and live on beautiful Waiheke island. I am working toward making my home into an oasis of sustainable living.i am developing a food forest and doing my best to fight invasive weeds. Although I am active I have some mobility issues so help on the garden, and around the house in general would be great. Waiheke is a 40 minute ferry ride from Auckland with good public transport. It’s a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. I am endeavouring to learn Spanish and have snippets of German and Dutch. Meeting new friends is all part of the adventure.

I am always keen to improve my language skills and help others with theirs. 40 years as an Art teacher means there is always an art or craft project going on that could be joined. I try to live a holistic lifestyle and have done this in rural and urban settings. I hope I can pass on my love of the natural world and some of the skills I have learned over my 70 years

What else ...
Waiheke is one of the top holiday destinations in New Zealand. We are known as a wine destination with vineyards and wineries being a main attraction. The beaches are beautiful and accessible. There are walking tracks through New Zealand bush and amazing vistas. The ferry to Auckland leaves every hour through the day if urban delights call.
I am a fairly quiet person and have a close circle of friends. I enjoy the slower pace lived here and the sounds of birds rather than the boom sound of bass.A little more information
