Welcome to our little international family community in beautiful Bavaria! 🌿🏔️
We are a warm and lively shared household in Ainring, in southern Bavaria, very close to Salzburg and surrounded by the beautiful Alps. Three young mothers with their babies are currently living together and supporting each other in everyday life. Our home is a small social and intercultural project where community, mutual support and cultural exchange are very important to us.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring person who enjoys spending time with babies and would like to become part of our community for a while. The main help we need is looking after the babies one day per week, occasionally a second day if agreed in advance. The rest of the week you will have plenty of free time to explore the area, learn German, relax or travel.
You will have your own private room in our home and share everyday life with an international household. We speak German, English and French, so it is also a great opportunity to practise languages and experience life in Germany.
Our region is a wonderful place to stay. We live close to Salzburg in Austria, with the Alps, lakes and beautiful Bavarian countryside right on our doorstep. Berchtesgaden and Königssee are nearby, and there are many opportunities for hiking, swimming, cycling, skiing in winter and day trips to Salzburg and Munich.
We would especially love to welcome someone who genuinely likes babies, is responsible and open-minded, and enjoys living in a multicultural environment. ❤️ -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our home is already a very international and multicultural place. We enjoy sharing everyday life, different languages, food, traditions and experiences with each other.
As a Workawayer, you will have the opportunity to experience real everyday life in Germany, while also being part of an international community. We are happy to help you practise your German, whether you are a complete beginner or already speak some German. As I am a German teacher, there are plenty of opportunities to practise and learn naturally. 😊
We enjoy spending time together, cooking, having coffee, going for walks and making small trips in our beautiful region. At the same time, everyone has their own space and independence – there is no expectation to spend all your free time with us.
Living so close to the Austrian border also gives you the chance to discover both Germany and Austria. Salzburg is nearby, and the surrounding area offers mountains, lakes, traditional Bavarian culture and many opportunities for outdoor activities.
We love meeting people from different countries and learning about their culture, language and way of life. For us, Workaway is not only about receiving help – we would like it to be a genuine cultural exchange and a positive experience for everyone involved. ❤️ -

Help
We are mainly looking for some loving and reliable help with our babies. There are three babies in our shared home, all under one year old.
We would usually need help one day per week, and occasionally a second day if agreed in advance. This could include playing with the babies, going for a walk with the stroller, feeding them, comforting them, helping with nap time and simply giving the mothers an extra pair of hands.
You will not be expected to take care of three babies completely on your own. Most of the time, one of the mothers will also be around and we support each other as a team.
We are looking for someone who is calm, responsible and genuinely enjoys being around babies. Previous experience with babies would be wonderful.
Apart from childcare, we may occasionally appreciate a little help with normal everyday things connected to the children, such as tidying up toys or preparing something simple for the babies, but we are not looking for a housekeeper.
The schedule is quite flexible and we can plan the days together in advance. Since we only need help one or occasionally two days per week, you will have a lot of free time to explore Bavaria and Austria, visit Salzburg, learn German or travel.
For us, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable in our home and become part of our little community rather than simply coming here to “work”. ❤️ -

Accommodation
You will have your own private and comfortable room in our shared home, so you will always have your own space and privacy.
You will share the kitchen, bathroom and common areas with us and are welcome to feel at home and be part of our everyday life.
Our home is in Ainring, Bavaria, in a beautiful area surrounded by nature and mountains and very close to Salzburg, Austria. Public transport is available, and Salzburg and other places in the region can be reached easily.
We want you to feel at home rather than like a guest or an employee. You are welcome to spend time with us, but you will also have plenty of privacy and free time. 😊
You will be part of our household during your stay, so food is included. We provide everything you need for three meals a day and you are welcome to use our kitchen at any time. Sometimes we cook and eat together, but there is absolutely no obligation to join every meal. You can also prepare your own food whenever you like. We want you to feel at home and be part of our little international household. 😊 -

We are currently looking for someone who can start quite soon and ideally stay with us for around 2–3 months.
Because our babies are still very young, reliability and experience with babies are especially important to us. We are looking for someone kind, patient and responsible who feels comfortable in a lively family environment. ❤️
Your help will mainly be needed one fixed day per week, with the possibility of an additional day occasionally and only if discussed together in advance. This means you will have a lot of free time for your own plans.
Our location is perfect for exploring the region. Salzburg is very close, and the Bavarian Alps, Berchtesgaden, Königssee and several beautiful lakes are nearby. Munich is also possible as a day trip. There are public transport connections, and we can help you understand the local transport system and plan trips.
We are quite flexible and relaxed in our everyday life. The most important things for us are good communication, reliability and mutual respect. We want you to enjoy your stay, have enough independence and feel welcome as part of our little community.
EU/EEA citizens are especially welcome, particularly for a short stay, as this makes the organisational side much easier. -

Digital nomads are very welcome! 😊 We have reliable Wi-Fi and you will have plenty of free time for remote work or your own projects. Since we usually need help with the babies only one day per week, it is easy to combine your stay with remote work. We can normally plan the childcare day in advance, so you can organise your working schedule around it.
