    Description

I am a metal sculptor with forested property close to town on beautiful salt spring island. I have many ongoing projects such as home renovation, carpentry, painting, moving and splitting firewood, garden maintenance, etc. I am a carpenter and metalworker, and would be happy to share some basic knowledge, it is definitely ideal if one has prior experience with tools etc. This is an LGBTQ+ friendly property with 2+ queer people living here, and several friendly cats!

We have a 20ft yurt that is available for staying in.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Workaways will be able to socialize with others in the house and on the property. We are within walking distance to the village on island where they can enjoy many local community events.

I enjoy sharing experiences and conversation with people of different cultures.

There is currently a composting toilet, and there are plans for an outdoor camp kitchen by the yurt along with an outdoor propane instant hot shower.. maybe you could help make them! In the meantime, the house kitchen and shower are available for use.
