Description
We found this beautiful place in October 2020, as we were searching for a quiet place in nature to start an intentional community. Currently we are a group of nine- 5 adults and 4 children, a dog, and 3 cats. Our vision is to create a stable, small community focused on spiritual healing, self-sufficiency, sustainability, art, education, ecology, cultural exchange, exploring human design and our roots, and living in harmony with the elements. Our ideas are vast- permaculture, ecological living, upholding knowledge and traditions of indigenous cultures, hosting retreats, workshops, ceremonies, and cultural events. We are still in the beginnings.. the property is just now at a liveable standard, but there is so much work to be done..! We welcome with open arms volunteers to experience the beauty of living in harmony with the surrounding nature- anyone who can contribute with art, skills, physical labour, knowledge and experience to share. (At this point, though, we need physical labour more than anything!) We are located outside a tiny village, in a quiet old campground with several cottages and a main building that once served as a restaurant, with a large industrial kitchen, several rooms, facilities for campers, and a main room for socializing. We are on a small peninsula, hugged by the river Dyje and surrounded by rich forest, with our own small private beach by the river.

We offer a taste of living simply in nature, while also enjoying the company of new friends from all over the world (as well as the furry forest neighbours ;) ) We are an international group, and love meeting new friends to expand our community and world knowledge, as everyone can gain knowledge through these unique experiences. Fires are an almost daily practice, as well as "family" dinners. Travellers will get the chance to take advantage of the safe healing space to explore themselves and get to know themselves better.. To learn new skills, try their hand at new projects, and all the while enjoying the beautiful nature surrounding us here.
Help
Right now we are most in need of physical labour- loads of building and renovation jobs, painting, beautifying, but just about anyone can find a way to help here,. We love to host guests who can contribute with art as well, or those who enjoy gardening... the possibilities are endless!

Accommodation
Private or shared rooms (depending on capacity at the time) , either in a wood cottage or main building. Access to large community kitchen, showers, toilets. Food included in exchange for 4 hours of work per day. Transport into town available as necessary.
What else ...
The river is a 10minute walk from our property, great for swimming, we also have a boat to use, bikes available, 3 castles nearby, cliffs for climbing, walking trails in the forest, and great overlooks. We are also very close to the Austrian border, not too far from Vienna.
