    Description

Just 10 minutes from Pontremoli, in Northern Tuscany, Italy, lies a former convent now divided into five comfortable apartments, all overlooking a picturesque medieval courtyard, with a garden, a big terrace and a small piece of land for natural farming. One of the apartments is home to the hosts, while the others are dedicated to guests and volunteers.

Our dream is to turn this place, in which we moved in July 2025, into an open co-living & co-working space, a nest for digital nomads, artists and souls in search of deep connections and a low-impact lifestyle.

The dreamers are Ezio and Valeria, together with their 18-month-old son Elia. Ezio from Salerno is a journalist, filmmaker and president of the Italian Natural Farming Network. For the past 13 years, he has embraced a zero-waste lifestyle, bringing his passion for sustainability into every aspect of daily life while living in Roma. Valeria from Milano is a translator and pole dance instructor with a pragmatic soul. She loves DIY projects and enjoys experimenting with homemade veggie recipes, always finding joy in crafting things with her own hands.

Please note that you’ll only be helping in our home or garden, not in the areas used by paying guests.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our family is all about cultural exchange. On the one hand, the local community is very active: in Pontremoli there is an association of young people that provides services for digital nomads and organizes cultural events, workshops and social gatherings — so there’s always something happening for those who want to connect.

Within the co-living itself, we also love to create opportunities to share and learn from each other. Ezio is a screenwriter, director and a “bonfire guitarist”, Valeria sings and can easily leads workouts. Moreover, together we enjoy hosting creative evenings, music sessions and community activities. Guests are encouraged to bring their own skills and ideas too — from cooking to arts, from wellness to storytelling — so that the exchange flows naturally in both directions.

    Help

We're creating a rural co-living in a beautiful and quite wild area, and we’re looking for volunteers who want to be part of our adventure.

    You can help us with:
    - babysitting our little one 👶🏻
    - gardening 🍅
    - self-production 🙌🏻
    - organizing community events or activities 🎭🎶

In exchange, we offer accommodation in our beautiful former convent surrounded by nature, plus the chance to live in a community of dreamers, digital nomads and creatives.

Please note that you’ll only be helping in our home or garden, not in the areas used by paying guests. However, if you have special skills, you’re more than welcome to share them.

Come join us and let’s build something meaningful together! 💚

    Accommodation

Rooms can be private or shared, depending on how many people are around. Most of the time, though, you’ll have your own.

Volunteers are welcome to cook and eat at our place, or they can use any of the other kitchens available on the property. In any case, we’ll provide the food for all meals throughout the day.

Since this co-living project aims to promote sustainable lifestyles, it’s worth clarifying that the food we make available to volunteers will generally be vegetarian, unpackaged, homemade or artisanal, and—when it comes to fresh produce—seasonal. We’d prefer to avoid buying meat and industrial or processed foods, but if volunteers need those, they’re free to purchase them themselves and consume them as they wish.
