Description
Hi, I am Alex! I am a musician and anthropologist from London, currently back in Italy for the year. In my spare time, I like to work on this heartfelt eco project, dedicated to restoring and reforesting my ancestors' small plot of land, now abandoned. This land, once dominated by a single-crop olive monoculture, is poised for a transformation back into a thriving, biodiverse ecosystem. This is not a business and no produce will be sold. It is a personal project aiming to reforestate the area, foster biodiversity and counter climate change.
My dream is simple yet profound: to breathe new life into this soil, inviting a variety of native trees and plants to take root and flourish. By diversifying the plant life, we will create a sustainable habitat that gives shelter to local wildlife, improves soil health, and contributes to the fight against climate change.
I'm working on this project by myself in my spare time, driven by a deep connection to this land and a vision for its future thriving with wildlife. However, I cannot do it alone. I need volunteers to help me on this journey. Together, we can share the challenges and triumphs of reforestation and celebrate the return of biodiversity.
Join me in restoring the balance and beauty of nature, one tree at a time.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Salento is a lively place with a stunning seaside and tons of cultural and social activities. The area is famous for its pristine water and traditional music and dance, especially the energetic pizzica. You can also explore local markets, discover unique crafts, and visit historical sites that tell the story of this beautiful region.
I've traveled the world as an anthropologist and musician, picking up a lot along the way, and I am happy to share experiences, words and music with you. Regenerating this plot is for me an opportunity to regenerate culture too - I want to welcome a community of creative, like-minded people here in Salento. Together, we can share our skills, knowledge, and art, learning from each other and growing together. The idea is to create a beautiful peaceful forest where you are welcome to come back to, stay connected and support one another, creating a network of creative and like-minded people that care for the planet.Help
