Creating a Safe and Welcoming Home near Brisbane Airport. Hi there! After travelling the world couchsurfing, hitchhiking, and volunteering, I'm now settling in Brisbane and have just moved into my first home between the airport and the city. My goal is to set up the home to host wonderful travellers like you, as well as foster children. I have a lovely puppy called Pantoffel who would love to meet you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

This will be your home while you’re here, not just a place to stay. I want you to feel comfortable, included, and part of daily life.
You’re welcome to join activities in Brisbane depending on your energy and interests, hikes, beach trips, local events, or just relaxed moments like coffee, chats, or time in nature. Brisbane has a lovely outdoor lifestyle, and I’m happy to share that with you.
A big part of this experience is learning from each other. I enjoy hearing people’s stories, backgrounds, and perspectives, and I’d love for us to share travel experiences and cultural insights.
I can offer language exchange (English, Dutch, French, Spanish) and would also love to learn or practise other languages with you. I’m happy to share my experience with travelling long-term, digital nomad life, hitchhiking, travelling around Australia, and building a life in different countries.
More than anything, I value genuine connection. The goal is that we both get something meaningful out of this, not just practical help, but a sense of growth, shared experiences, and a real cultural exchange.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You'll have your own bedroom with city view. You can use the common spaces. This is a quiet home, we go to bed early, this is ideal for a traveller needing a relaxing break. Please make yourself at home. The only thing I do ask is please do not bring any food containing dairy in my home (or label it very clearly), because I have a severely cow milk allergy and always need to be very careful in the outside world so it's nice to have a safe home where I know I can eat and drink anything without worrying.

Flexible. I can cook, we can cook together, or if you want to cook as part of the weekly hours that's great too
