Our Farm is a beautiful and diverse regenerative farm between the Great Ocean Road and the Great Otway National Park. It is 90 acres in size and in a stunning part of the world, with views over the Great Southern Ocean and close to pristine temperate rainforest.
The farm produces beef cattle, sheep, free-range pigs, pastured chickens and black truffles. There are also horses, an alpaca and two dogs. Most of the time I am working on the farm by myself, so any help is very much appreciated.
It is just next to the Great Ocean Road and the beautiful beaches of Apollo Bay and Skenes Creek.
DIY and building projects
There are so many different enterprises on the farm that there is always something interesting to do and to learn.
One thing we are rarely short of is great produce. If you stay here you will enjoy very good food.
I like visitors to learn about how food is produced and understand how good farming practices benefit our environment.
Before I had the farm, I worked in the arts and traveled throughout the world with my touring street theatre company. I love travel and culture and to share my knowledge and experiences.
Depending on your skills and preferences, I appreciate help with the gardens surrounding the house, general maintenance around the farm or general work feeding and looking after the many animals. I also usually have a building project in progress.
There is a main house and a separate cottage. Most of the time, I can accommodate volunteers in the main house, although sometimes it is rented out for holiday accommodation. At these times we use the cottage.
The Otways and the Great Ocean Road have some wonderful sights to see. There are natural features like the many beaches, the 12 Apostles and forest reserves. There are many beautiful walks and mountain bike trails as well as fantastic surf beaches and fishing.
