    Description

👋 Hi there! We’re Mara and Angelo, nice to meet you!
We’re a friendly Italian couple living in a peaceful town in Scotland, just north of Edinburgh. Our place is in a quiet residential area, surrounded by greenery and with easy access to nature walks, small cafés, and public transport — great if you want to explore both the countryside and the city.

We share our home with our beloved French Bulldog, who is 3 years old — full of charm, cuddles, and a little bit of stubbornness (as Frenchies often are!). He’s part of the family, and we take his care very seriously, especially when we’re away.

Mara has a passion for wellness, creativity and handmade crafts, while Angelo is the practical one — calm, kind and always ready to help. We both love meeting new people, exchanging cultures, and creating good vibes at home.

We’re new to Workaway as hosts and excited to welcome someone who loves dogs and enjoys a relaxed, respectful atmosphere. Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

✨ We’re an Italian couple living in Scotland, so there’s a mix of cultures in our everyday life!
We love sharing Italian traditions — especially through food, music, and good conversation. If you’re curious about Italian language or culture, we’re more than happy to share stories, recipes, or even cook a homemade meal together before we leave!

We also enjoy learning from others, and we’re always interested in hearing about different ways of living, thinking and travelling.
Our town is calm and close to nature, which makes it a great place to slow down, read, go for walks and recharge. And if you're up for it, Edinburgh is just a short train ride away, full of history, events and Scottish culture to explore!

Even if our time together might be short, we believe every exchange can be meaningful — we’ll make sure you feel welcome and part of the home.

    Help

🐾 We’re happy to host someone for a full week or up to 10 days around our trip in October.
This gives you time to settle in, get to know our dog, and enjoy some relaxed days in our home and local area.

Whether we’re home or away, we’d love to have someone who can spend quality time with our French Bulldog — giving him company, attention, and care. We want him to feel happy and comfortable at all times.

We’re looking for someone to care for our dog during those few days.
Our French Bulldog is sweet, affectionate, and used to a calm home environment. He enjoys short walks, playtime, and lots of cuddles — but also naps a lot during the day! We’re looking for a reliable, caring person who genuinely loves dogs and can give him attention and companionship while we're gone.

    The help mainly involves:

    Feeding him twice a day

Taking him for short walks (morning, afternoon and evening)

Spending time with him at home so he’s not left alone for long

Basic care and affection (he loves being close to people!)

We prefer someone who is happy to look after just one dog and doesn’t bring pets of their own, to keep things simple and peaceful for him.

You would have the house to yourself during our trip, and we’ll make sure everything is prepared so you feel welcome and comfortable. 😊
