Description
Hi! We are a couple who have been travelling Southeast Asia for nearly 7 months now. Throughout our travels we have loved being part of local communities and getting to experience different cultures, it’s been the best part of the trip. After meeting so many warm and friendly people along the way, we wanted to find a way to give something back rather than just pass through.
We would love to help children or disadvantaged people in any way we can, whether that’s teaching English or just helping out where we are needed. Seeing people grow in confidence or learn something new is something we both find really rewarding.
Vietnam is where we have chosen to end our travels (as we loved it so much) and we are genuinely excited to be back here to learn more about the culture, meet local people and feel like a part of the community while also making ourselves useful. It feels like the right way to finish the trip.

Between us we have a background in science, Emma has a BSc and MRes in Neuroscience and Reilly a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. But years of customer-facing work has shaped us. We have both spent a lot of time in customer service roles which taught us how to communicate with all kinds of people, be patient, and just genuinely listen. We are naturally curious and find ourselves wanting to know everyone’s story, which tends to mean we connect with people pretty easily.
More than anything we just really care about the people around us and want them to feel comfortable and supported. We like to get stuck in and help however we can. Vietnam isn’t new to us either, we have visited before and the warmth and welcome we received from people there is a big part of why we wanted to come back and give something back to that community.
