Description
Hi, we are a lesbian couple, Stefani and Vivian.
The property is rural, so we need someone who are ok to stay in a place that is not busteling.
Vivian is originally from Norway, and Stefani from Brasil. Vivian likes board games, gardening, cooking, different hobbies (that changes with my interest in a particular season). Stefani likes skateboarding, sports, playing drums (although she doesn't have any at the moment), We both like photography, good conversation, series/films, samba, psychology, enjoying life and learning new things.
Vivian is chronically ill and disabled and because of that need some extra help with some everyday tasks. The main tasks will be walking and bathing Betty (our dog), cooking from recipies (Vivian has a lot of food allergies and sensitivities), helping with the weekly house clean, changing the bed and maybe a little bit of gardening and helping with other hobby things.
We are looking for someone that is a woman, femme, non-binary or a gay man as we are not super comfortable with straight cis-men staying with us.
We have a lovelly little rescue dog called Betty. She barks a bit, but she is all bark, and no bite. She is a tiny dog with a big personality. A bit naughty, smart, stubborn, and absolutely charming and adorable. She is allowed on sofas and chairs.
The accomodation for the workaway is a casita next to the house and garden. It has its own kitchen and bathroom. It does not have aircondition, but just a floor fan.
The location is a bit remote, when it comes to amenities. If you don't have your own car, there are only buses twice a day, 8.15 and 14.00, to Lliria. In Lliria you can get the metro to Valencia. If you want to go somewhere after this time, you only have the option of a taxi. It is 15€ to go to Lliria. It is about 15 minutes drive (a bit more with the bus). The nearest town that has a couple of cafés and a little convenience store is about 45 min walk. We can however lend you a bike if you prefer, and it will take about 10-15 minutes on bike. Also there are lots of small roads to bike or walk, and there is a hill behind, that lends itself to small hikes.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
If you are interested in Norwegian or Brasilian culture, we are happy to share. Since we are not spanish, the experience will be more multi-cultural than Spanish.
I can offer housing, food and very flexible work. We can come to an agreement that suits us both in regards to working hours/free time.
My house is in the country side, in a small urbanisation, which means there are some neighbors, but not many amenities. A lot of the houses here are holiday/weekend homes. On the other side of the road is "wilderness". So it is more of a quiet area, and not the belly button of the world. It is a perfect place to relax in the sun and swim in the pool.
The experience is more of calm and tranquility, pool life, and gardening. It is not party central.
Help
We need some help with daily/weekly task like walking Betty (my dog), cooking, preserving produce from the garden, vaccuming, tidying, carrying stuff (not really heavy things, just what I can not manage myself, like soil bags and similar), going to the pharmacy and grocery shopping.
Vivian has a whole lot of food allergies and intolerances, so I need to have most of my food cooked from scratch. I do eat meats, so if that is a problem for you to see/cook, this probably would not be the right place for you, as cooking is Since I am on a budget, I will provide the same monthly base foods, and a weekly budget for you to buy extra food you want. If you have any questions about the content, please ask.

Accommodation
Casita next to the main house. It has its own kitchen and bathroom. It does not have aircondition, but just a floor fan. I have parking.
Please note that the internet is not very good here, and there is little to none in the casita, but the terrace usually has ok reception.
What else ...
I live in a small urbanization called Monrabana close to Domeño, Lliria and Casinos in the Valencia region. There is a twice a day bus to Lliria, although a bit unreliable, and a metro from Lliria to Valencia. There is a lot of lovelly towns and villages around, and also natural parks and mountain areas to visit if that is your type of thing. There are several beaches within about 30 minutes drive. I have parking if needed.

Vivian is a great host and I stayed with her in Spain for two months during the lockdown this summer. It was like a peaceful safe-haven in troubled times, and I'm very grateful to have stayed there.
The housework was easy and the gardening was fun, even though I really struggled to adapt to the heat!
