  We are a 50-year-old couple speaking French and we maintain a large plot of 30 ares with a pond, a vegetable garden for our own consumption, we raise 3 pigs and 5 goats, 5 hens and a few chickens, 1 donkey. We have a Weimaraner, our faithful and very friendly canine companion.

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  The world of animals is a domain that we master well and more particularly the breeding of goats and the transformation of cheese, we will be able to teach you a lot on this subject. As for gastronomy, we are fine gourmets and kathy will be able to give you her little culinary secrets.

  Help

  Depending on the time of the year, we would like help with the care of the animals, the pruning of the hedges, the maintenance of the vegetable garden as well as the harvesting and conservation of vegetables, help in a self-construction (painting, small carpentry, ...). We are sometimes away for 7 to 10 days, during this period, the care of the animals and the maintenance of the vegetable garden is essential. We also work outside 3 days/week. We live in the Condroz namurois (French speaking part of Belgium), our living environment is magnificent in the countryside and we welcome our guests in a very well equipped yurt with a kitchen corner, a living room corner and a double bed, the sanitary facilities are right next door. During the colder months the yurt is heated with a pellet stove. We provide the food (mostly home grown) and some meals are shared. We are looking for a practical, open minded, caring, energetic and independent person or couple to help us manage all our work.

  Selon la période de l'année, nous souhaitons de l'aide pour le soins aux animaux, la taille des haies, l'entretien du potager ainsi que la récolte et la conservation des légumes, l'aide dans une auto-construction (peinture, petite menuiserie, ...).
  Il nous arrive de nous absenter 7 à 10 jours, durant cette période, le soin aux animaux et l'entretien du potager est essentiel. Nous travaillons aussi à l'extérieur 3 jours/semaine.
  Nous vivons dans le Condroz namurois (partie francophone de la Belgique), notre cadre de vie est magnifique en pleine campagne et nous accueillons nos hôtes dans une yourte très bien aménagée avec un coin cuisine, un coin salon et un grand lit 2 personnes, les sanitaires sont juste à côté. Durant les mois plus froid, la yourte est chauffée avec un poêle à pellets.
  Nous fournissons la nourriture (principalement produite chez nous) et certains repas sont pris en commun.
  Nous recherchons une personne ou un couple possédant le sens pratique, ouvert d'esprit, attentionné, énergique et indépendant pour nous aider à gérer tous nos travaux.
  
  Nous sommes impatients de vous faire découvrir toute la richesse de nos campagnes et de la vie en plein air.

  A driving license, valid in Belgium, is essential as we are in a remote location and will give you some freedom to explore. For those traveling without their own transportation, we have a car that you can use occasionally and 2 electric bikes. The nearest train station is 15 minutes away. The Condroz region is a Walloon destination where life is good. The gastronomic experience, the charm of the villages, and the landscapes between forests and hills, offer an immediate disconnection to the visitors. Innumerable walks on art trails are proposed in the region, you can also explore the caves of Goyet, picnic on an unusual table, have a drink on a terrace in Namur, Huy or Ciney or discover the historical centers of these big cities and many other things that we will be happy to explain to you.
  
  
  Un permis de conduire, valable en Belgique, est essentiel car nous sommes dans un endroit éloigné et cela vous donnera une certaine liberté d'exploration.
  Pour les personnes qui voyagent sans leur propre moyen de transport, nous avons une voiture que vous pourrez utiliser occasionnellement et 2 vélos électriques.
  La gare la plus proche est à 15 minutes de chez nous.
  La région du Condroz est une destination wallonne où il fait bon vivre. L’expérience gastronomique proposée,
  le charme des villages, et les paysages entre forêts et collines, offrent une déconnexion immédiate aux visiteurs.
  D’innombrables balades sur les sentiers d'art sont proposées dans la région, vous pourrez aussi explorer les grottes de Goyet, pique-niquer sur une table insolite, boire un verre en terrasse à Namur, Huy ou Ciney ou découvrir les centres historiques de ces grandes villes et bien d'autres choses encore que nous nous ferons un plaisir de vous expliquer.

  Can possibly accept pets

  After a trial with our dog, we can accept to receive another dog if it is clean and well behaved and provided that a thorough cleaning of the yurt is done at the end of the stay. Après un essai avec notre chien, nous pouvons accepter de recevoir un autre chien si celui-ci est propre et bien élevé et à condition qu'un nettoyage approfondi de la yourte soit effectué à la fin du séjour.
