    We run a number of educational programs in low served communities, schools and at our own learning centers .
    The programs range from early childhood development, a mobile library, literacy clubs, art projects, health clubs for teenagers, community moms savings groups, entrepreneurship & leadership clubs for girls.
    Our vision for the communities we serve is that children and youth get quality education to become confident, literate, 21st century citizens that will make a change for their families, communities and country at large.

    Uganda has a diverse culture of very hospitable people and children very excited to share their culture with the world, our staff are young people that love to spend time showing you around. You could learn how to make Ugandan traditional meals, Ugandan Traditional languages and dances and so much more.

    We would like to host all of you from all over the world that would love to spend time helping children/youth during our educational programs.
    These programs run in partner schools and at our own community learning centers.

    Possible responsibilities include:
    Mentoring literacy clubs, running a mobile library, reading with children, creating art projects, playing and teaching board games and physical games, gardening, helping to run early childhood development activities, supporting mothers' savings groups with financial literacy skills, Teaching teenagers a skill.

    Helping with running literacy camps, organizing and running advocacy Days such us World Read Aloud Day, International Day of the Girl, Menstrual Hygiene Day, Black History Month.

    Responsibilities depend on the month you will be available as we follow a calendar for some activities.

    I love teaching my local language and I have managed to get a great understanding of the French language through the curiosity I have for other cultures.

  • Accommodation

    1. Entebbe Wakiso:
    At our director's residence in Entebbe. You have a bedroom with a shared sitting room (lounge), kitchen and bathroom with one of the caretakers of our preschools.

    2. In Forportal:
    At our learning center in Kabarole District , you have a bedroom in a 3 bedroomed bungalow. This is a village setting so the bathroom is outdoors and you will use a traditional latrine. There is a tap outside the house for easy access to clean water.

    Accommodation is free, we only ask for a small contribution to meals.

    In Entebbe you can enjoy the beautiful lakesides along Lake Victoria, fun beaches, a walk through the botanical gardens, a day at the reptile village, bird watching, cycling clubs, boat cruises, a day at the Uganda Wildlife Education Center.
    All the above activities are 15 mins away from your accommodation if you choose to volunteer with us in Entebbe.

    If you choose to volunteer in Fortportal, you can enjoy community walks, a tour of Tooro Kingdom, chimpanzee trekking in Kibaale forest, cycling, a visit to Mpanga local market or a walk in Tooro botanical gardens and so much more recommendations on the web.
