It's hard for me to put into words how much I loved staying with Albert, Judit, Joan, and Xavi (and Taca 🐹). This was my first time doing Workaway or any kind of homestay, so I wasn't sure what to expect from it. I only had two weeks to stay with their family and I truly wish it could have been so much longer. From the moment I met them, they were
… read more so welcoming, accommodating, thoughtful, and kind, and made me feel at home right away. Over the two weeks I got to help the kids with their English by spending time playing board games, going on walks to get ice cream, and having family dinners each night. We even took a day trip to Montserrat after I had told them that it was one of my bucket list places to see. I had so much fun trying new foods, learning some Catalan (pa amb tomàqet!), and getting to know this wonderful family and their beautiful town. Joan and Xavi are the sweetest kids ever, and so much fun. Albert and Judit are such generous, funny, and open-minded people, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute with them. In two short weeks, they made me feel like a part of their family, and it made saying goodbye so hard. To anyone considering this experience, you truly cannot find kinder, friendlier, or more amazing people to stay with. I will forever cherish the time I had in this family, and hope to visit again someday soon ❤️You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
