Seeking only one person February-March. Longer stays preferred.
Come enjoy the mountain air in the town of Mestia high in the mountains of Svaneti, Georgia. There is great hiking here and the views are magnificent. We are Manoni, Keso, Irakli, and Nelly the cow. You will be part of the family here and will be able to experience the culture of Georgia as well as meeting travelers from all over the world.

Helping with Tourists
A native English speaker preferred, but you must be able to speak English at least at a conversational level. A plus if you speak Russian or Georgian.
Right now during low season, we seek one person to help during the week in the middle of the day. Starting in late Spring, we seek two or more people for help.
You will be helping in the daily tasks of maintaining a guesthouse: cleaning rooms and bathrooms, helping guests, checking people in, and answering questions. You will also need to clean up after the cow and feed her. If you know how to milk a cow, Nelly needs to be milked as well. In spring and summer, we also need help in the garden. Another plus is to be able to chop wood, especially through these winter months.
We seek people who are hardworking, sociable, outgoing, and friendly with guests.
Georgian, English, Russian
During low season, the person will have their own room.
During high season, people can either have a bed in a dorm or can bring a tent and camp in the garden. Many guests also camp in the garden since the weather is wonderful in the summer.
Dinner provided and there is free wifi.
Usually, your days off will be weekends. During your time off, you can choose from many hiking trails in the area. There are also daily tours to Ushguli (a cluster of villages at the foot of one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus mountains), waterfalls, and lakes. In Mestia, there is an ATM, markets, restaurants, and bars.
Bring hiking and/or camping gear with you because Georgia does not yet have good specialty outdoor equipment stores and shops. Also, if coming in winter: be aware it is very cold. Bring layers and gloves.
There are daily marshutkas (mini buses) to Mestia from Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Batumi, and Tbilisi. If coming from Tbilisi, we recommend taking the night train to Zugdidi and taking a marshutka from there. If you tell the marshutka driver you are going to Manoni's Guesthouse, they should know right where it is and bring you here, too. If not, ask in the city center and they will know there!
