    Social life & community
Life on the farm is shared and slow. Volunteers often eat meals with our family, help with daily routines, and spend evenings chatting under the stars. We host small group activities like farm walks, animal care sessions, gardening together, and occasional shared cooking using produce from the land.
When possible, volunteers also get a chance to interact with the local community—neighbors, farm workers, and nearby villagers—offering a real glimpse into rural life beyond tourist experiences.

What we can share with Workawayers
We love sharing practical, hands-on knowledge:
Natural and ethical animal care (cows, hens, sheep, and bunnies)
Sustainable farming practices and kitchen gardening
Composting, soil health, and simple farm systems
Slow living, mindful work, and building routines around nature
Hosting guests and facilitating farm-based experiences
No prior experience is required—just curiosity and willingness to learn.

What we hope to learn from you
By hosting people from different cultures, we hope to learn new perspectives, stories, food traditions, and ways of living. We value conversations—about life, work, sustainability, and culture—and believe that every exchange leaves both sides richer.
We see this as a two-way experience: while volunteers learn from the farm, we learn from the people who pass through it.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Volunteers stay in dorm-style bunk beds inside our mud cottages, built using natural materials that keep the rooms cool and grounded. The space is simple, comfortable, and designed for people who enjoy close-to-nature living rather than luxury.(separate for men and women.)

The washrooms are located outside the cottages and this setup suits people who are comfortable with shared spaces, value simplicity, and are happy to experience a more traditional, eco-friendly way of living.

All 3 meals will be served. Basic vegetarian south Indian food

  • What else ...

    What else ...

During time off, volunteers are welcome to slow down and enjoy the natural surroundings. There is a waterfall nearby, which is a lovely spot to relax or spend quiet evenings. Many people enjoy reading, journaling, walking around the farm, or simply spending time with the animals. We also run a weekend school on the weekends to educate the kids from neighboring villages computer, English, public speaking and sports etc.

For getting around, Uber services do reach our location, making it possible to travel into nearby towns when needed. However, please note that there are no supermarkets or large stores close by. The nearest shops are about an hour away, so we recommend planning purchases in advance.

Our way of living & house guidelines

We follow a fully vegetarian lifestyle on the farm, and all meals prepared and consumed here are vegetarian. We also encourage a calm, mindful environment—alcohol is discouraged, and the use of any substances is not allowed on the property.

Life here is simple and community-oriented. We value respect—for people, animals, and the land. Volunteers are expected to be considerate of shared spaces, follow guidance around animal care, and contribute to keeping the farm clean and harmonious.

This place is best suited for those who are comfortable with limited access to urban conveniences and are looking for a slower, more intentional way of living.
