Description
Come volunteer at our Lodge, La Ceiba Honduras. We are set between Pico Bonito National Park and Sierra Nombre De Dios. With breathtaking views of the rainforest, our restaurant bar over looks the Cangrejal River and is host to travellers from around the world. We offer whitewater Rafting and Hiking tours daily.
A Workawayer will help 4 - 5 hours a day, have free accommodation and one meal. In return they will look after guests, work with the local staff, do some projects or cleaning, odd jobs and do shopping of supplies. They must speak and write English and some Spanish would be very useful as our staff do not speak english. They should be social media savy and fluid on tech. They should be áble to handle the challenges of issues as they arise, such a the odd power / Internet outage and complications due to occassional adverse weather conditions. -

What else ...
Practice your Spanish with our all local staff. We have a day and evening cook/housekeeper. We have two more part time ladies to replace the full time staff on their day off. We have a man who takes care of the maintenance, gardening and farm work. We have a permanent Raft Guide and several freelance Guides. We also have a receptionist, server, bartender.
The entrance to Poco Bonito National Park is 10 Minutes away and the lodge has a panoramic view of the Park and the Rio Cangrejal. It is a Natural playground with great cliff jumping, swimming and bouldering. The area has great mountain biking on the dirt roads and some trails.
We are a short ferry or plane ride away from the Bay Islands of Utila, Roatan, Cayos Cochinos and Guanaja, where you can find the best diving in Central America. The Ferries and downtown La Ceiba are easily accessible by taxi (not included). -

I had an incredible stay at this hostel, where the peace and tranquility enveloped me. Cathy, the host, was exceptionally sweet and accommodating, making me feel right at home. Her daughter Lucy was a breath of fresh air, and I truly felt like part of their family, even during my short visit.
