Hi, we are a small and friendly bi-lingual family living in South East London. We have a lovely cat, his name is Tiger. We occasionally need someone to cat-sit and house-sit for a week or so.
UPDATE: We have received a lot of interest for the July-August position and it is now closed, thank you everyone who got in touch! No new contact about this position will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
A little bit more about us:
We are easy-going but hard -working, love animals, art, books, comics and games. No smoking, yes cycling and seaside adventures, to name a few :))
We live in the thriving Forest Hill neighbourhood - lots of local independent shops and restaurants around here, the famous Forest Hill pool and library are 2 min walk from our flat, the Horniman Museum 15, also within easy reach are Dulwich, Peckham, Crystal Palace, Brockley, New Cross.. all areas with great pubs, venues, parks, markets, hangouts for all tastes - and of course, you can hop on a bus journey into central London, or a short overground ride to hip east London.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
They would benefit from living in a nice cosy flat, 5 min from an overground station, swimming pool and other amenities. Lots of to-do around here and London is at your doorstep.
Help
if they could housesit, looking after our cat and plants.

Accommodation
Late Victorian 1st floor 2-bedroom flat. One of the bedroom is tiny though, so we turned it into a studio, with dining table. The living room has become the master bedroom. So no living room as such, but the kitchen and bathroom are decently sized, and there's a cute little garden at the back :)
What else ...
Forest Hill Pool nearby, also Forest Hill station 5 mins walk, Horniman museum 12 mins, close to Dulwich, Peckham, connected to Brockley, New Cross and East London via the overground.

Jose is the best! Lovely person, warm, polite, friendly and reliable, we welcomed him and two workawayers last years for a short time and we had a fantastic experience - they all were responsible, clean, caring young people who looked after our home and pet while we were away. From the moment we met them, we knew we had made the right choice: it… read more felt like we were family and we could all trust each other. It all went really well. I wish we could see them again, and in the meantime, continue with your dreams and adventure good friends, lots of love from us. Come back when you want!

My days in London could not have been better! Veronica and Dorothea were wonderful to me, from when I came to meet me at the train station until my last day, they were super caring, attentive and patient with my fledgling English, always encouraging me to practice and improve. The house is not big, but it is very cozy and has everything we need… read more especially an atmosphere full of love, joy and peace. Veronica is very flexible, encouraging me even for a two day mini trip to Paris, she is also very intelligent, polite and humorous. Dorothea is a sweet girl, very smart like her mother. They are vegetarian, but they bothered to buy me some meat. Felt great there. I learned a lot from them, about London culture, birds, vegetarian food and giving value to the things that really matter and I just have to thank you for that! I left already missing it.
It was my first experience at Workaway and it was perfect, it was fun, it was challenging and it was an achievement, thank you so much for accepting my hosting request, because I always had the dream of knowing London and also for providing me with an unforgettable experience, No doubt when I'm around I'll visit them! Thank you so much for everything, I will always remember you with love and see you soon!
