    Description

    Hello, future Workawayers!

My name is Ryo, and I am based in [Osaka, Japan]. I am currently looking for motivated and reliable helpers to support me with a few personal and household projects. This is a private hosting opportunity, not a business, and the atmosphere here is relaxed yet organized.

Here’s what I am looking for:
    * If you meet any of the following, you’re welcome to apply.*

    1.Language Tutor (German or English)
I would love to find someone who can teach me German, English, or Spanish for about 1.5 to 2 hours per day. 3~5 days a week. Ideally, you have a structured approach to teaching, whether you have formal experience or are simply passionate about helping others improve their language skills.

    2. I’m looking for someone with a background in mindfulness, meditation, or emotional wellness to join and contribute in a non-clinical, experience-sharing setting.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who has experience in:
    • yoga, meditation, or breathwork
    • non-clinical emotional support or peer-based counseling training
    • mindfulness-based education or self-awareness practices

Please note: This is not a clinical or therapy-based position. It’s intended as a peer-to-peer exchange, where we can share personal tools, practices, and insights related to well-being and self-growth in a relaxed, respectful environment.

1 to 1.5 hours per day. 3~5 days a week

    3. Martial Arts & Movement Volunteers
We're looking for people with training in one or more of the following disciplines:

    •Boxing (amateur or competitive)
    •Kickboxing (e.g., K-1, full-contact styles)
    •Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)
•Chinese Martial Arts (e.g., Tongbei, Bajiquan, etc.)

You don’t need to be a professional — but serious personal practice and a passion for sharing are welcome. We'll explore informal training, cultural storytelling, and movement exchange.

    4.House Cleaning Support
Assistance with general cleaning tasks around the house would also be very helpful — things like vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and occasional deep-cleaning if needed.

    Working Hours
The total time will not exceed 180minutes (3hours) per day, 5days a week. and tasks will be divided according to priorities and your skill set. I aim to keep everything fair and manageable, so you will have plenty of free time to explore and enjoy the area.

    What You Can Expect

    A respectful, friendly environment.

    Flexibility in scheduling tasks.

Open communication about expectations and feedback.

A chance to experience Osaka from a more local and relaxed perspective.

If you have any specific skills, teaching methods, or experience you'd like to share, please feel free to mention them in your message. I would be happy to hear more about you and what you could bring to this exchange.

    Looking forward to welcoming you!

    Best regards,
    Ryo

    Cultural Exchange and Learning Opportunities

As a Workawayer staying with me, you will have the chance to experience daily life in Osaka, learn about the local culture, and enjoy a welcoming and respectful environment.

While supporting me with language learning, appliance setup, and home organization, you will also have the opportunity to:

Practice communication and teaching skills in a real-life setting.

Exchange ideas about language learning techniques, cultural habits, and practical life skills.

Experience the everyday rhythm of life here — from home living to small local discoveries.

Share your own culture, language, and experiences, and learn from mine as well.

I believe that hosting is a two-way experience. I am always curious to hear about different perspectives and enjoy learning from Workawayers' backgrounds, travels, and stories. I hope we can create an environment of mutual learning, respect, and personal growth.

If you are interested in languages, cultural exchange, and practical collaboration, this will be a rewarding and positive experience for both of us.

    Tasks and Help Required

Here are the types of help I am looking for:

Language Tutoring (German, English, or Spanish)
I would love to practice and improve my language skills with a patient and enthusiastic tutor!
Ideally, you can organize a short daily lesson (around 1.5 to 2 hours), focusing on conversation, vocabulary, and practical language use.
Teaching experience is not required, but a structured and encouraging approach would be wonderful.

Household Appliance Setup and Minor Repairs
Occasionally, I may need assistance with assembling, setting up, or doing simple repairs on home appliances or furniture.
If you have basic technical skills and enjoy hands-on tasks, your help would be highly appreciated!

    General House Cleaning
Helping to keep the house clean and tidy is another part of the support I need —
this includes vacuuming, dusting, organizing, and sometimes a bit of deep cleaning in shared spaces.

    Working Time
The total time will be around 3 hours per day (maximum 180 minutes).
Tasks will be flexible and depend on what is needed most on that day, with plenty of free time for you to explore the area and enjoy your stay.

You don’t need to be skilled in all areas — even if you can help with just one of these tasks, you are very welcome to reach out!
I look forward to creating a positive, relaxed experience together.

    Accommodation

You will usually have your own private room to relax and enjoy during your stay.
However, from time to time, if other travelers or friends visit, the room may be shared for a short period.
I will always let you know in advance so that we can arrange everything comfortably for everyone.

The space is simple but cozy, with everything you need to feel at home.
We also share the common areas like the, bathroom, and living room.
I try to keep a warm, respectful atmosphere where we can enjoy each other's company while still having plenty of personal space when needed.

I am unable to provide three full meals per day; however, snacks and instant noodles will be available at home. In accordance with Workaway guidelines, I will ensure that the working hours do not exceed 3 hours per day, 5 days a week.

If you enjoy a relaxed, homey environment and a bit of cultural exchange, you’ll feel very welcome here!

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are quite a few universities near my place, so the area has a youthful and relaxed atmosphere. There’s also an Asahi Beer Memorial Hall nearby—if the timing works out, I’d be happy to take you for a walk around.

My place is very close to central Osaka. If you’re looking to experience the city’s vibrant energy, it only takes about 20 minutes to reach the heart of downtown.
