Description
Hello, I'm Thuy (Jolie), and I live with my parents in Hai Duong province, Vietnam.
At the moment, I'm starting my own project. My project focuses on building English classes for children combined with other English-related activities.
So, we invite volunteers to join all of the relevant work and brainstorm helpful & creative ideas together to MAKE A DIFFERENCE for children, and schools, as well as change the perspective of parents and students about learning English in a positive way in my hometown. Children here really need opportunities to communicate with foreigners and know more about the world outside the village where they live, need to improve their logical thinking, creative thinking, independent thinking, and critical thinking. They should know English is fun, and foreign languages in general will bring them more valuable opportunities in their lives. Therefore, we welcome citizens from all over the world, as long as you can speak English.
Additionally, I'm passionate about travelling, gardening, art, singing, playing instruments, teaching children, doing volunteer work, social work, and making new friends. I practice Yoga, and Vipassana meditation sometimes.
So I'm glad to have some more buddies if you share similar interests.
Join us in making a positive impact on our community while experiencing the unique charm of the Vietnamese countryside.
Many thanks!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Travelers participating in my project will benefit from cultural exchanges and gain a variety of valuable skills and experiences such as:
1. Cultural Immersion:
Experience the rural life of the Northern Vietnamese people (we have "Thuoc Lao" if you want to try ^^). Go to the market together, and cook Vietnamese dishes as well as other countries' cuisines.
2. Language Skills:
Improve your Vietnamese language skills through daily interactions with locals and by teaching English to rural children. This will improve your communication abilities and cultural understanding.
3. Healthy lifestyle:
Doing yoga and meditation in the early morning surrounded by bird singing and fresh air is a good way to bring you a good mood for the whole day.
4. Scenic Exploration:
Discover the beauty of Hai Duong’s tranquil paddy fields, river and picturesque landscapes and local attractions in cities nearby. Enjoy the peaceful rural atmosphere and explore the charming countryside.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Here are the specific tasks we need help with:
1. Teach English and hold some funny and challenging games: The volunteers often teach them English skills such as communication skills, speaking skills, listening skills in various activities.
2. Brainstorm helpful & creative ideas together to MAKE A DIFFERENCE for children, and schools (if any), as well as change the perspective of parents and students about learning English in a positive way.
Broaden their knowledge about the world, and improve their life skills such as logical thinking, creative thinking, independent thinking, and critical thinking.
Make learning English fun and inspire children to learn foreign languages in general, motivate children to overcome difficulties in life to achieve what they want in a dignified and virtuous way, which brings them more valuable opportunities in life.
3. Join our tours and speak English with the children (if any).Languages

- Accommodation: Provided with comfortable accommodation with an AC, a table, a lamp, 2 mattresses, a guitar, a keyboard, an ukulele, etc. You can share the big room upstairs with other volunteers (if any). I teach my classes downstairs in the daytime.
- Note: No hot water directly from the shower for bathing. The place has some noise as it’s on the road, so please bring earplugs with you if needed.
- Meals:
* From June to August, I have free time to go to the market and prepare meals with the volunteers. There are always fresh fruits and vegetables for vegans and vegetarians.
* The other months: Volunteers are responsible for their own food arrangements. There is a kitchen and you can cook for yourselves. We also have a list of restaurants (not expensive, but yum) that provide good meals in the area.
* As asking for 2 hours of help per day, the food is not free, but the accommodation is provided for free, as a part of an exchange. It would be kind and generous of you for a food contribution, it is optional. Volunteers should be able to buy and prepare their own meals, if you wish.
* In case volunteers work for 5 hours per day (depending on the workload), food and accommodations are completely free. What else ...

Yes, he is amazing and extraordinary.
Why do I say that?
So, first, we can say he's good-looking. But that good looks won't destroy his good nature. He always tries to be kind and helpful, which makes him improve himself day by day. And I believe that good things will come to him and will always be there because… read more
