Description
Hello, we are a family of three, originally from the Netherlands.
Feeling tired of the rat race and rush of our lives we decided to move to the French countryside, The Dordogne.
We bought an old rural property with several buildings and a lake, (read overgrown, derelict, neglected in the middle of nowhere) and started to bring it back alive.
It is a beautiful place if you're into swimming, hiking, mountain biking, clean air and peace and quiet.
Turns out there is a lot more to be done ( we do all the work ourselves) then we can handle.
That's why we seek help from people who would love stay in the middle of a national Park, work outside in the woods, orchard, rebuilding old walls etc.Types of help and learning opportunities

We deeply respect nature, environment and animal wildlife and want to share this. We're working hard to become self-sufficient regarding energy (renewable), heating and water.
Furthermore we love eating together, share different worldviews and cuisines and meet people from around the worldHelp
Help needed with gardening, landscaping, cutting wood, maintaining waterways, renovating buildings. Skills not really needed, we do everything together and can learn/ share the skills along the way

We have two private bedrooms with double/ single beds in the main house, a bathroom with shower, toilet and washing machine. If you have your own camper, campervan or tent we can accommodate you near the house and provide electricity.
WiFi is available but as you're in the countryside speed is limited.
There's a library you can use and large kitchen where we all eat together twice a day (lunch and dinner).
Breakfast is possible but you'll have to make it yourself. What else ...
In your time off you can enjoy nature, do sport, read, gaming or sightseeing. But be aware, we live in a rural area, there are no bars, cafe's, restaurants and cinema's nearby.
There's a train station at 6 km with connections to larger city's like Bordeaux or Limoges.A little more information
