Located just blocks from the Pacific Ocean, we have celebrated 22 years in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico. After making Mexico our home for this time with our two rescued street dogs.. one rescue cat we are seeking volunteers to help with the critters.
Help with maintenance and construction.

We are always looking for volunteers. Our preference is for an average of one months stay. We accept single workers and couples.
Our preference is a couple and a small child is also accepted.
We have hosted many people from all over the world. We are happy to put you in touch with some people as references who can speak to their time at the hostel and in Sayulita if you'd like!
ABOUT THE HOSTEL
It is a beautiful, colorful, open-air house turned tiny hostel. It has a waterfall and plenty of trees. The house has an open air kitchen, hot water, and surf boards for guests. We're the most pet-friendly place to stay in Sayulita! There is one open air kitchen and one large kitchen in the main house. We are a 5 minute walk from the beach and a left surf break. We are just to the north of the bridge and directly in front of the sports field.
We stopped operating as a Hostal in 2024.
Now we only accept previous guests or walkins.
In august September and October there will be very few guests...
So volunteer responsibility will be to the animals and the property
ABOUT THE TOWN
Sayulita is a tropical fishing village and surfing mecca just a short drive north of Puerto Vallarta. It has amazing food and drink options that range from street tacos and Corona to artisanal cocktails and lobster. There is truly something for everyone in this once quaint and quiet town that is now sophisticated and very high energy.

Excellent hiking right from our doorstep into the jungle in all directions. Multitude of volunteer opportunities in Sayulita ranging from environmental protection to recycling to working in spay and neuter clinics for street animals, and teaching English as a second language.September and October are the quietest and most tropical time of the year

We have excellent internet here. Many guests are digital nomads and work or study from the casa. There are also several coffee shops with strong internet as well as multiple co-working spaces if you need.

Niyma means Sunday in the Tibetan language.
He was found by a native speaker in the jungle on deaths door.
We took him in and now he is a high energy boy.
He loves lots of exercise people and most dogs and cats.Gabriella or Gaby
