    Description

There is plenty of field work involved including planting, bed preparation, weeding, mulching, wood chipping, pruning, and harvesting. We have a farm to doorstep delivery CSA, and we also participate in two weekly farmers' markets. . All jobs are alternated between the entire staff, and we try to place folks where they have the most experience, passion, and willingness to learn.

The most important abilities are dependability, adapatability, and reliability. We can teach everything else. However, if you have experience in any of the above, that would be great!

Presently we have a very comfortable 32 foot RV. There are cooking utensils, refrigerator, propane stove, and dinnerware. Overnight guests are not allowed. We prefer at least a three month commitment. We provide bedding, etc.

There is access to excess produce from the farm for individual consumption. Workers must first clear with the field supervisor regarding what produce might be available. No other food is provided.
We are searching for applicants that have the following traits and offerings:

    Smart, but humble.
    Confident, but not arrogant.
    Eager to learn.
    Team player.
    Sober.
    Kind.
    Easy-going and respectful.
Not afraid to break a sweat and get dirty.
    Not a clock-watcher, but a job completer.
    Animal lover.
    Planet lover.
    Clean and neat.

This is a non-smoking, no drugs, and no-drama lifestyle. We are commercial grade and require appropriate attire for all jobs.

We offer compensation for US citizens only at minimum wage for Hawai'i which is currently $16.00 per hour.

A minimum of 20 hours each week for workaway volunteers

Kaua'i has some of the most beautiful beaches and mountains in all of Hawai'i. The farm is walking distance to a County Bus stop.
Surfing, hiking, and snorkeling are activities that our farmworkers enjoy during their free time.
We are about 1/2 mile from the nearest public bus stop and the bus does allow bicyles if there is space on the carrier. Bus service every hour on weekdays, and every two hours on weekends and holidays.
