Description
2025: I currently need a volunteer for house/pet sitting for the months of July and August, and a house/pet sitter for 20-28 December. I’m also in need of a creative painter interested in painting a mural on the wall. If my calendar is yellow, or green, let’s talk about dates that flow best for us.
Hello! I’m Sunshine. I live in a home with my husband, children, two turtles, and three cats. I work from home though and often take my computer with me to a cafe or beach for the scenery (want to join me??)
I’m offering a room with a shared bathroom for help around the house, cooking, and small projects, with possible babysitting. For food, it’s up to the volunteer to arrange their meals, but we’ll take care of lunch during the workdays. You can count on a warm, home-cooked dish! I can provide a schedule or we can come to an agreement on the days you will be available to work.
The apartment is centrally located and only 20 minutes from Lisbon, Portugal.
If you do not have experience with house/pet sitting, I do not feel we will be a good fit for house/pet sitting work. I love my animals like my children and I like to keep a tidy home. Daily pictures or video calls are expected. I’d like for you to arrive a couple of days before our departure to ensure the energy is a match. Please be honest about your intentions and skills. I am sure we can work together but only if you are honest about your intentions and skills. If you are merely looking for a crash pad while you party in Lisbon, we will not be a good fit.
Though I appreciate couples wanting to help, I can only accommodate single people as my space and resources are limited. We prefer a max of 2 week stays in the beginning. There’s no minimum stay. We prefer non tobacco users (cigarettes and vapes).

I am originally from America but have lived in various countries and enjoy meeting new friends. I am a native English speaker, fluent in Spanish and learning Portuguese. I enjoy cooking and teaching all I’ve learned through my travel life experiences.

Help
I am offering a room and two daily meals for help around the house which can include (based on our agreement): pet sitting, occasional babysitting, meal preps, graphic design help (if that's your specialty), small DIY projects, organization, decluttering as well as deep cleaning. If you are a house sitter, I am also interested in meeting you! I have a few holidays to take and would love a responsible person in the house during that time to care for my fur and plant babies.

A bus picks up a few meters from the home and takes you through town. You are able to travel to Lisbon and other major towns from the bus route. Taxis, Bolt and Uber are also available nearby.
