I stayed with the family for roughly 5 months and my experience was amazing. I arrived in Brisbane which is roughly 2 hours away from Dalby, where they happily agreed to pick me up with no hassle. They were so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. They showed me the Aussie/ country lifestyle and we did fun activities on the weekend to show
… read more me round. They were always considerate and would always take into account things I would like to do too. They looked after me so well and were my aussie mum and dad. They had a great relationship with my parents too who my mum is still in contact with too. My main job was looking after the kids and then doing some housework which was anything from laundry, emptying the dishwashers and doing some garden work. I loved looking after the kids (Jack and Claire) and just missed out on seeing lewis, who I will have to come visit at some point. I made great bonds with jack and Claire and it was an emotional goodbye when I left. I still are in contact with the family and we FaceTime occasionally( when time difference line up) to speak to them and see the kids. I would highly recommended staying with the family as I had the best time!!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Gaby and I have had the best time with Annabel , Dan and Claire, and don’t forget Yoda and Luke! Gabs and I truly felt apart of the family and will really miss these guys as we move along with our travels. We felt as though we all worked extremely well together, with flexibility from Dan and Annabel which made our stay so much fun. The best thing

On a standard day we would feed the chooks and the dogs at breakfast time. We would then look after Claire (which was always so much fun), play with the dogs and do some chores around the house until mid day. After that we had free time to explore and or relax. A great location not far from so many different attractions for us to explore. As we got along so well, a lot of our free time was spent with the family, swimming in the pool, adventuring around the local area, playing ping pong and having awesome dinners together.
We absolutely recommend staying, you’ll have a fantastic time and find it hard to leave just like we have!

Dora and Shawn fit into our family so easily and we’re such a pleasure to have stay with us. We enjoyed cooking and eating together and learning about their homes and travels. Dora and Shawn were hard workers, very respectful, polite and easy company. They were wonderful with our 8 month old baby and 2 dogs as well. Would highly recommend this

We had a great stay with Annabel, Daniel, Claire, and the pups. The work included general housekeeping, cooking and grocery shopping from time to time, playing with the dogs and the baby, as well as some outdoor work such as cleaning up the property, removing fallen branches, feeding the chooks and other small tasks. Overall the stay was wonderful
