    Description

This is not a hostel. If you want a house full of travellers every night, this is the wrong listing. Here you can be more comfortable and you will eat well, but there is less built-in social life. It suits people who can be on their own.
The place is 500 m from the wave at Punta de Lobos. It already runs on solar and well water. Now we finish systems and keep the site working: shops at the front, yurts, workshop, water, heat, order.
I import goods from Indonesia and sell them here. That pays for the project. So a lot of the work is simple: sort, clean, stock, sell, build, finish. An ecological project is still a construction site. Bricks, boards, tools back in place.
I have the whole picture in my head. What I like is people who bring their own spark inside that. Painters who painted. Someone who picked a corner and made it better. If you tell me what you want to do and it helps the place, I will try to get you the materials. I need help on every front.
On the table: refine solar and plumbing, a sauna and heated pool with reused heat and solar collectors, water systems, finish the shops, put up a yurt. And the unglamorous work that lets all of that happen.
22 hours a week, well worked. Make your own timetable. Good swell? Surf first and catch up later. That only works if the hours are real.
We eat well because it is my table too. We cook and wash up together.
Internet is Starlink — as stable as it gets. You can work remotely without fighting the connection.
This works if you like finishing things, keep shared spaces tidy, and can listen first. It does not work as a free surf camp with optional chores.
Spanish, English, German. Bikes and some surf gear. Town is 20 minutes by bike. Dogs and cats on site.
If you are practical and curious, write and tell me what you like to do with your hands — or in a shop.

You learn off-grid life by doing it, not by talking about it. Solar, well water, heat, waste, shops that pay for the place — what works, what is only a nice story, and what it costs in time.
I have been in ecological projects long enough to know the difference. Living this way is possible. It is not simple, and it is not always pretty. If that interests you more than the slogan, you will get something real here: habits, tools, and a slower look at how a small place actually stays alive.
Spanish, English and German at the table. Bring what you know; take back what you used.
    ==========

  • Help

    Help

We need help with a whole array of projects but the most important thing is to be motivated.
Please tell me what you don’t like doing and where your skills are and what gets you fired up, in this way I can look for a job that fixes you and where you are happy and get the feeling you are developing yourself...
Anyway what I hate most in live is to be a boss, so anybody with good organizational skills, would be very very welcome. Carpenters, mechanics, inventors, photographers, programmers, etc. etc. all welcome too

    Accommodation

I have yurts for rent, what are beautiful decorated and where you can stay if not rented. If rented, always I will have a room, and if we are full, maybe you will have to share a room.

    What else ...

I speak Spanish, English and German fluently so language isn’t a problem. We’re very fortunate and privileged to be so close to the wave at Punta De Lobos but it does mean that the majority of the surrounding infrastructure are other properties with very few shops. If you want to go shopping then you can either cycle into town (20 mins) or take a collectivo for 1000 pesos. There’s lots of great shops in town. We have lots of shortboard surfboards available if you want to surf and we’re good friends with some rental places so you can always hire a board and wetsuit from there through us. We have 1 dog and 5 cats that you’ll see floating around the place all the time who are all very friendly.
