Min stay requested: at least 3 weeks

  • Description

We are located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. My husband and I have 4 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 vineyards - no kids. Our helper would have to be a dog & horse lover, interested in natural horsemanship and be a good rider. In exchange for your volunteering, you have room & board, internet access, are included in all activities, and we play with the horses or we go riding. Are you a non-smoking, self motivated, outdoorsy & fit person that would like to stay a min. of 3 weeks and up to a max. of 3 months - then we would love to hear from you!

You will be included in all the family activities, you can join us to go to barrel races and/or gymkhanas. You will learn about natural horsemanship (I passed PNH level 3 liberty). We grow grapes, so you can learn a lot about viticulture and wine.

  • Help

You will be helping with barn chores, walking the dogs, working in the vineyard and the odd job here and there in and around the house.

    What else ...

We are close to the lake & beaches, close to hiking and biking trails. You can use our bicycle and/or scooter. There is a bus to town (Penticton) 3 times a day. We are in the middle of wine country and there are lots of wineries. There is rock climbing at Skaha Bluffs and shorter routes just a few minutes from us.
