Description
I'm Claudio Mogliotti, I'm an architect and right now I am developing projects in real estate and tourism in Piedmont and Sicily.
I have two sons, Alessandro and Filippo, which are now away for univeristy. In the free time I am passionate about cooking, gardening and sustainable auto production.
I live in Migliandolo, a small and peaceful village 10 km away from Asti in the heart of Monferrato, which is one of the historical wine region of Piedmont, which recently became UNESCO world heritage together with the territories of Langhe and Roero.
I live in a big countryside house originally built in the 17th century and totally restored, with a big garden and park surrounding the house.
My house is also the seat of Tavola di Migliandolo, which is an artistic project for diffusion of art and promotion of emerging artists, which occasionally are hosted here for artistic residences during which they can express themselves in a stimulating environment, contaminating with each other as a way to grow artistically and personally. During the years I hosted various artists from different parts of the world that left their artworks here in exchange of hospitality. Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I enjoy sharing our culture, recipes, and traditions with my guests. Additionally, I have cultivated an environment lush with art, music, and culture from which any guest could learn. From our guests, I am looking to learn more about your background, perspective on the world, and language if the opportunity arises.
Help
I am searching for someone who can, over all, assist with gardening and maintenance of our properties. Some tasks required would be to trim the border of the forest surrounding our property, maintain parts of our current garden, and paint several of the iron gates around the property. If you have abilities in carpentry or construction, there will almost certainly be more work and the opportunity to stay longer. The house is over 500 years old and full of side projects.

The workawayer(s) will stay in a independent part of the house, thought as a dependance for guests, with a bedroom with a queen size bed, a living room that can also be equipped as a work station, kitchen, bathroom and a big basement with a pool table and a big dining table.
For food, I am happy to cover the cost of groceries. When the occasion arises, I am also more than happy to welcome you to our dinner table and share traditional recipes from Piedmont. What else ...
Our homes rest at the top of a hill in the village of Migliandolo which is incorporated under the city of Asti. This means that our house in not well connected to Asti through public transit. Though can offer a ride into Asti when our schedules align, we are not available to shuttle Workawayers 24/7. I can offer some bicycles, but for this reason, I recommend that our workawayers secure access to a vehicle. Once in Asti, you are well connected to the rest of Italy through the network of trains.
