A smiling man and woman stand outdoors on a farm, dressed casually. They appear happy and relaxed, enjoying each other’s company on a cloudy day.
This image shows a charming countryside house with red brick walls, white upper exterior, and a sloped roof, surrounded by green grass, bushes, and trees.
A curious piglet with orange and black spots stands on dirt, looking up with large ears and a muddy snout, bathed in warm sunlight.
A black and white chicken walks on green grass near a rustic building. White laundry hangs drying on lines in the bright, sunny background.
A grand country house sits amid a spacious, manicured lawn with large leafless trees, a winding driveway, bright sunlight, and clear blue sky overhead.

    Description

My husband Jamie and I live in a farm cottage on our much loved 500 acre family farm as part of a family setup. We have young twin girls (less than 3 months), Willow and Saskia. Our farm is predominantly arable with 2 pigs, a few chickens, cats, dog and guinea pig. We are very into the environment – there are woods, ponds, ancient meadows, a huge vegetable garden, a tennis court to enjoy and lovely walks around. We work closely with my parents and sister and brother in law, who all live on the farm.

Whilst rural in Suffolk, we are an hours train ride to London/Cambridge and you will be able to borrow a bike or a car to explore the local area. There are some lovely pubs in historic local villages.

As part of our farm diversification, we have a large self-catering Tudor Barn that sleeps 25 and the Old Brooder Bunkhouse that sleeps 22. We are embarking on a Natural Burial Ground and a small farm museum. Further information on all our ventures is on our website, and our family team information.

In the past we have had Czech, Dutch and New Zealanders stay with us, and they've always extended time with us! They have all been involved with family activities and have loved living on the farm and joining in with local community events such as barn dances, village fetes, pub visits, trips to London, Cambridge and the Suffolk Coast.

    Help

We would ideally love a couple to come and help part time with childcare for our twins for a wonderful rural English experience. We are looking for a couple who love children and embrace the outdoors and understand our passion for history and the environment. In the past we have had Czech, Dutch and New Zealanders stay with us, and they've always extended time with us! This role is intended for childcare help, rather than profitable activities/paying guests.

We are currently looking for a couple from April 2026, and for the right people can be flexible on the duration for stay, but would ideally like a minimum of 3 months.

    Accommodation

As part of the package we will provide food and accommodation. There are two accommodation options – either living with us in our cottage, or living adjacent in a beautiful restored showman’s wagon with use of our bathroom. We have lots of home grown produce from the farm and our vegetable garden. Some meals can be together, but you will be more than welcome to cook and eat independently.
