Description
Our warm modern house is situated on 18 acres of beautiful rolling green hills with its own small area of native bush. We (my husband Bruce and myself) have 2 Labrador dogs 3 chickens and one Kitten who has just been added to the family. We run a bnb and both work. (I work part time at the local hospital and Bruce works at the Auckland airport. We have a large garden with many fruit trees, vege and flower gardens. We run 20 head of cattle on our lifestyle block. We have lived overseas with our family when our kids were young and have travelled internationally. We have often had international travellers to stay on a casual basis .
Pukekohe is a thriving small town with all services, cafes and supermarkets. the town is only a 7 minute drive from our place or a short walk then bus ride. We are close to the Hunua ranges with its many walking tracks . We are only a half hour drive to the nearest beaches both west coast and east coast 40 mins from Auckland city and 1.5 hrs from Hobbiton. The beautiful Coromandel peninsula is only a 2 hr drive away. The climate is pleasant and it is comfortable to be outside most of the year.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We love meeting people from other countries and have often had travelers to stay for both short and extended periods. We have travelled and lived overseas ourselves .
Help
The help required is varied . Your help would be spread across many areas; in the garden where I would often work with you , light maintenance help on our large property and farm operation for example helping with planting, fencing, firewood, weed control , stock movement. Also work in our small native forest area for weed control and track maintenance and help with the chickens and the 2 Labradors. Some household cleaning tasks would usually be part of the tasks .

That was my first big travel in a foreign country, and even if I couldn't go further than in NZ from France, I felt like at home. I can now talk in english with any random Kiwi and i've learnt a lot of farming skills but the most wonderful thing I found in that house was this joyful couple !
