  • Description

    Description

We are a young international family living in a traditional Andalusian village surrounded by mountains, olive groves, and nature in southern Spain. Our family includes a Dominican-American husband, a French wife, our young son, and we're expecting our second baby.

We enjoy simple family life, gardening, hiking, cooking together, and learning from people from different countries who share our appreciation for faith, culture, and meaningful conversations.

Hosting through Workaway is an opportunity for us to welcome people into our daily life, exchange languages and experiences, and build genuine friendships while working together on small household and garden projects. We value faith in God and prefer hosting fellow believers, whatever your religious background. Hope you can stay long term!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Workaway, for us, is about welcoming people into our home and sharing everyday life together.

We love meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures, traditions, languages, recipes, and experiences. In return, we're happy to introduce guests to life in rural Andalusia, Spanish culture, and the history of this beautiful region.

We often cook together, spend time in the garden, explore nearby villages, hike in the surrounding mountains, and enjoy long conversations over meals.

We speak English, Spanish, and French at home, so language exchange happens naturally.

Faith is also an important part of our lives. We enjoy respectful conversations about spirituality, philosophy, history, and scripture with anyone who is interested, but participation is always completely optional.

As a family, we enjoy working together around the home rather than assigning jobs. Workawayers join us in our daily activities, and we'll usually be working alongside you.

Depending on the season and everyone's interests, activities may include:

    • preparing meals together
    • helping in the vegetable garden
    • light gardening around our olive trees
    • small DIY or organizing projects
    • occasional household cleaning together
    • spending time outdoors and exploring the local area

We'll always keep the schedule flexible so there's plenty of free time to discover Andalusia and enjoy your stay.

We love language exchange. We speak English, Spanish, and French in our home and enjoy helping guests practice any of these languages. We'd also love to learn words, expressions, and traditions from your own language and culture.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

The house has 7 bedrooms, out of which only 2 will be occupied; one by the husband and the wife, and one by the baby. You may stay in one of the other 5 bedrooms, all for yourself. Whichever bedroom is most suitable.

We eat plant- based (vegan), and hope that you will also do so when you are with us. You don't have to be "vegan" -- but you should be ready to make some adjustments if you are used to eating animal products regularly. If you do eat meat and other animal products, we expect you to at least do so in accordance to the standards of believers, whether that happens to be "kosher" or "halal" -- whatever you want to call it. We hope to share some of our favorite recipes with you!
