Description
Hi! We are a Belgian family of five who recently moved to the peaceful countryside of Galicia to create a healing space. While we run a personal wellness practice, we are strictly looking for help with our private home life and personal homestead—never with business operations or paying guests.
We are working towards self-sustainability step-by-step and would love a extra pair of hands with our personal family projects. Help usually includes:
Greenhouse Setup: Helping us assemble and set up a greenhouse for our family's organic vegetables.
Garden Maintenance: General weeding, landscaping, ...
Family Life: Light assistance around the house or sharing turn-taking in cooking meals.
We offer a warm family environment, where locals come in and out having some chats, having a meal or dancing a bit.
We offer a private room, with lock shareable bathroom with shower, and good working wifi.
We offer 3 homecooked family meals.
For the curious minds i offer my knowledge an passion in ayurveda, traditional chinese medicine, phytotherapy, reiki, quantum healing. No question is to much to answer.
Greetings from Galicia -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are starting a healing centre as retreat but online educational as well. To make people sustainable and self-sufficient in healing, with all that nature provides. We have building skills,... and we are a multicultural family with, multicultural local friends. You can hear us speaking several languages, Spanish, English, Dutch, French,...
We always want to learn new cultures, habits, foods and permaculture tips. -
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
We expect help with building a greenhouse out off old windows and wood, finishing the treehouse for the boys, gardening, and cleaning the rubble out or maybe helping with cooking for all. We are flexible in chores or time they are done. We will be doing the tasks alongside you.
But we would like to discuss everything, to understand each others expectations and no disappointment on both sides. -

Accommodation
We provide rooms with keys, and a sharable bathroom with lock.
We as family have our own bathroom.
We eat at Spanish times and share our meals in family. We are not vegan. But have 3 kids with allergies milk and wheat so we often cook seperate for them. Or do not use those ingredients for the meals. We are much aware off allergies and can provide adapted food for you.
We do not smoke in the house, and have 2 cats that can come into the house.
Food: Three home-cooked family meals a day.
Knowledge Sharing: As an orthomolecular nutritionist trained in Ayurvedic healing, Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), phytotherapy, and quantum physics concepts, I am always happy to share my passion and knowledge with curious minds! -
What else ...
We love to share and having a good time while doing work, talk, sing, or make music... we love to have an comon experience .
Their are beautiful nature walks and waterfalls to visit. You can visit Lugo with roman sites, Ourense with aquaduct and termae, Pontevedra with round church, and off course Santiago de Compostela with Cathedral. Ribeira sacra and much more nature. Galicia is known for good food from local farmers. friendly people and not expensive. And off course the green decor.
The Location
We live on a tranquil 2-acre plot surrounded by nature, singing birds, and pure quiet.
Santiago & Transport: Located along the famous Camino de Santiago, we are just 25 minutes by car (or 1 bus route) from Santiago de Compostela, and 15 minutes from SCQ Airport.
Exploring Galicia: Central Galicia is stunning! Beautiful waterfalls, historic cities, and pristine beaches are all within a 1-hour drive. (Having your own transportation is recommended if you wish to explore the region on your days off).
Weather: Expect warm, sunny summer days with pleasantly cool, crisp nights.
If you are a positive, nature-loving person who wants to experience healthy homesteading in rural Spain, we would love to hear from you! -
