Description
Hello, Greetings from Uganda.
We are Esther and Janet, twin sisters who founded an organization after being deeply moved by the lives of three children we encountered who had no means to attend school. Witnessing their hardship inspired us to dedicate ourselves to helping children in similar situations.
Initially we managed to cover school fee's for these first three children, however our number of children grew substantially and this is when we decided to start the Whispers Of Love Foundation. We now rent a private school building and our organization now hosts over 40 children offering free education, mentorship programs, health care services, and essential needs like clothing, food and other recourses.
Here at the Whispers Of Love Foundation we do more than just offer our help to the children we also work with their family and the wider community of Namulanda.
We would be thrilled to welcome travelers who are interested in engaging with and teaching the children at our school and our local community.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
A cultural exchange in Namulanda, Uganda, allows travelers to connect deeply with local customs, learning traditional practices, language, and values that go beyond surface-level tourism. Through hands-on activities, travelers acquire practical skills while gaining an appreciation for sustainable, locally-driven practices. Volunteering at Whispers Of Love offers travelers an insight into Uganda’s social and economic challenges, fostering empathy on a global perspective.
The people of Uganda are known for their warmth, resilience, and generosity. They welcome visitors openly, sharing stories and traditions that showcase their community-oriented spirit and adaptability. Travelers often leave inspired by the Ugandan people’s optimism and strength, carrying forward valuable lessons of kindness and perseverance.Help
The organization offers a variety of activities to keep volunteers actively involved, such as reading to the children, teaching and assisting with English and math's education, outdoor maintenance and making home visits to reach children who cannot travel to the library. volunteers will also have the chance to teach life skills, engage in activities like sports, music and dancing.
Additionally we welcome travelers to assist in fundraising efforts to support our future vision of building our own school so our funds can go into our project and not rent.Languages
