Description
Biotech innovation accelerator in Istanbul. We conduct project based research, development, innovation and technology transformation services to companies and organizations around the globe. It is powered by a community of independent researchers, engineers, business people and more. This place is a micro-settlement with garden, dorms, living, office and lab space. We need help running & maintaining the physical space but also would like to work together on the business and community as well.
The aim is to create an active environment that motivate researchers attract talent, and our team manages teams of independent researchers and projects. We have a biotech lab and office space at the settlement. We manage projects where we provide final research reports, product & process designs, business and R&D plans, financial & strategic analyses, also conduct preliminary lab work from time to time.
We don't require domain expertise, we train applicants for the work to be conducted. So if you enjoy learning about biotechnology on every level from lab bench to product, this is a unique opportunity for you. However we would like our teammates to have some professional skills on team management, community management, conducting technical, market, media research and preparing corporate reports. It's prefferable if you have education in a relevant field.
Here, we want our workawayer to help us maintain the house, office, welcome & service guests; also manage the technical team meetings, organizing events once a week (calendar, online communication, planning etc), business operations (bookkeeping, paperwork), organizing meals from shopping to cooking, keeping meeting notes. The guests here are academicians, doctors, university students; so there are a lot of opportunities to engage in cultural, intellectual conversations.
There is also a lab for biology lovers; if the workawayer is interested in this field, he can join experiments here or coordinate lab operations.
We have a house, with a garden. We also want to take care of the garden sometimes. Near us there are green areas; parks, sports places, seaside is 3 km away (10 min by bus), a vibrant and dynamic life is 3 km away too, neighbourhood is active during day, and calm during nights.
We are two people at the moment living and operating this house. The roles we seek for are house, community, team, project and lab management roles.

The guests of the house are academicians, students from life science field, intellectuals. There are weekly events such as garden BBQs and networking meetings. The conversation going on here is high quality and the general atmosphere is cozy, You can learn about Turkish scientific and philosophical society and local problems to-be-solved.

House maintenance, cooking, cleaning, welcoming guests, collecting cargo-deliveries, help at growing & sustaining the community, conducting conversations with guests, helping with physical & online events, cleaning the settlement regularly and after events.
We are cooking for ourselves, as an example, every day one of us cook the lunch and dinner. the kitchen expenses are covered by us. Food is free for everyone

Istanbul is the center of cultural events, sports attractions, historical places etc. The neighborhood is calm, quiet and socioeconomic status is high. Transportation available for European side (by boat or underway) and Asian side (by bus,metro) in a short time.
