We run an organic/biodynamic foodbox business in Castlemaine & a raw food cafe . We live on a property 10min. Out of Castlemaine on the side of an old volcano & surrounded by farmland with not a house in sight but only 2.2km from suburbia. We are building a retreat space where people can come & learn about raw food, do yoga, meditations, massage & learn good communication techniques. We have a market garden & 50 odd fruit trees partly established. We have sites for tiny homes & a sight for BnB space with 2 caravans & a shipping container awaiting renovations. The projects are diverse but all with the ultimate aim of building a space that is close to self sufficiency & feels like community for anyone whoever shares it.

This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
If you are interested you will walk away with more knowledge of any of the following; English , raw food, food box systems & what's happening in our food system world wide, new meditation techniques, new communication techniques, working with Australian timbers, meet wildlife (depending on the time of year & your luck there are kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, snakes, blue tongue & stumpy tale lizards & large numbers of birds), songwriting is always an option if you have an interest & we hope you will have made new friends.
The projects have diverse aspects so there are plenty of options ~ we use as much recycled material as possible & as much fun/art as possible in all our projects & prefer to think outside the box whenever the opportunity arises & take the creative road;

We have a Caravan with a double bed for workaway people to stay in which has a stove & a kettle but all meals will be provided & will be vegan & mostly raw & we eat together.
Families are a possibility
There is no smoking on the property & we respect all life & ask that those visiting do also whilst they are with us.
We live a simple, minimalist life which somehow manages to be very busy. We do not eat animals or animal products request that visitors respect this. We do love our food though & you will never want for fresh fruit & great meals & delicious raw deserts.
We have been host to many volunteers over the years.
There is enough misery in the world & so at home we focus on joy & creating a beautiful peace filled space with plenty of laughter, fun & creativity mixed in
Castlemaine is on a train line that links you to Melbourne & right up to Mildura. If you have a vehicle then there are great daytrips to the Grampians, caves, the beach & there are always exhibitions and events happening around town as it is an active art/workshop type of area.
