  Hello! We’re Charlie and Dhaf. We live in Mérida, Yucatán. We love exploring the area, enjoying the warm weather, and sharing experiences with people from all over the world.
  
  At home, we have a calm, friendly, and smoke-friendly environment. We also have two very loving dogs and one cat, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys being around animals 🐶🐱
  
  Mérida is a safe city with a vibrant cultural scene, amazing food, and a great location to visit nearby beaches like Progreso and incredible cenotes in the surrounding area.
  
  We’d love to host someone with a good vibe, open to sharing, and excited to experience authentic life in Mexico.

  En casa vivimos en un ambiente tranquilo, amigable y smoke friendly. Tenemos dos perritos muy cariñosos y una gatita, así que también buscamos a alguien que disfrute convivir con animales 🐶🐱
  
  Mérida es una ciudad segura, con mucha vida cultural, excelente comida y muy bien ubicada para visitar playas como Progreso y cenotes increíbles en los alrededores.

  We believe this experience should be more than just accommodation, we aim for genuine connection. We enjoy involving workawayers in everyday activities such as visiting cenotes, going to the beach, exploring downtown Mérida, trying local food, or simply sharing a good conversation at home. We’re also happy to recommend authentic places and help you experience the local culture.
  
  We can also help you practice Spanish and adjust to life in Mexico.
  
  By hosting people from different cultures, we’re excited to learn about their lifestyles, languages, perspectives, and experiences, and we are also interested in practicing our English. We truly believe this kind of exchange is enriching and helps us grow both personally and in how we see the world.

  Nos gusta que la experiencia sea más que solo hospedaje; buscamos una convivencia real. Nos encanta integrar a los workawayers en actividades del día a día como salidas a cenotes, visitas a la playa, explorar el centro de Mérida, probar comida local o simplemente compartir una buena conversación en casa. También podemos recomendar lugares auténticos y ayudarles a conocer mejor la cultura local.
  
  También podemos ayudarte a practicar español y adaptarte a la vida en México.
  
  Al recibir personas de otras culturas, nos interesa aprender sobre sus formas de vida, idiomas, perspectivas y experiencias, y también nos interesa practicar nuestro inglés. Creemos que este tipo de intercambio enriquece muchísimo y nos ayuda a crecer tanto a nivel personal como en nuestra forma de ver el mundo.

  Help

  The help we ask for is simple and won’t interfere with your helping schedule; however, we would appreciate someone with a flexible schedule in case any situation arises. It mainly involves household tasks such as keeping things tidy, cleaning, or small daily support, as well as assisting with content creation and occasionally appearing in reels. Everything is organized in a flexible way.
  
  We truly value respecting each other’s time, clear communication, and a harmonious living environment. Our goal is for the experience to be comfortable for both sides.

  Nuestro hogar es un espacio tranquilo y cómodo, ideal si trabajas de forma remota y buscas un ambiente relajado. Contamos con conexión a internet estable y espacios donde puedes trabajar sin problema.
  
  El apoyo que solicitamos es sencillo y no interfiere con tus horarios de trabajo; sin embargo, nos gustaría contar con alguien que tenga un horario flexible por cualquier situación. Se trata de tareas del hogar como mantener el orden, limpieza o pequeñas ayudas del día a día, así como apoyo como asistente en la creación de contenido y, en ocasiones, participación en reels. Todo organizado de forma flexible.
  
  Valoramos mucho el respeto por los tiempos de cada quien, la buena comunicación y una convivencia armoniosa. Buscamos que la experiencia sea cómoda tanto para nosotros como para quien nos visita.

  For us, language exchange is an important part of the experience. We’d love to host someone open to speaking English naturally in everyday situations, while we also support them with Spanish if needed. We’re not looking for anything formal—just a natural and authentic way to learn through daily interaction. Para nosotros el intercambio lingüístico es una parte importante de la experiencia. Nos gustaría convivir con alguien que tenga disposición para conversar en inglés de forma natural en el día a día, mientras nosotros también apoyamos con español si lo necesitan. No buscamos algo formal, sino un aprendizaje fluido y auténtico a través de la convivencia.

  Accommodation

  We offer a private room inside our home, clean, comfortable, and safe. The bathroom, kitchen, and common areas are shared with us.
  
  Regarding meals, they are not included; however, workawayers are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare their own food. We’re also happy to recommend affordable local places to eat.
  
  We aim to maintain a tidy, respectful, and pleasant environment for everyone.

  Ofrecemos un cuarto privado dentro de nuestra casa, limpio, cómodo y seguro, ideal para descansar. Las áreas como baño, cocina y espacios comunes son compartidas con nosotros.
  
  En cuanto a las comidas, no están incluidas; sin embargo, los workawayers pueden utilizar la cocina libremente para preparar sus alimentos. También estaremos encantados de recomendar opciones locales accesibles para comer.

  What else ...

  In your free time, there’s plenty to enjoy in Mérida and the surrounding areas: exploring the historic downtown, visiting museums, trying local food, going to the beach in Progreso, or discovering nearby cenotes. It’s a culturally rich city with always something to do.
  
  Regarding transportation, it’s easy to get around using Uber or public transportation. We live in the northern area of the city, which is safe and well located.
  
  As for our lifestyle, we keep a calm, relaxed, and respectful environment. We like to maintain the house clean and organized, and we expect the same from anyone staying with us. We also value good communication, respect for shared spaces, and harmonious living. We are smoke-friendly, always with consideration for the shared space.

  En su tiempo libre, hay muchas cosas que pueden disfrutar en Mérida y sus alrededores: explorar el centro histórico, visitar museos, probar la gastronomía local, ir a la playa en Progreso o descubrir cenotes cercanos. Es una ciudad con mucha vida cultural y siempre hay algo interesante por hacer.
  
  En cuanto al transporte, pueden moverse fácilmente en Uber o transporte público. Vivimos en la zona norte de la ciudad, una zona segura y bien ubicada.
  
  Sobre nuestro estilo de vida, llevamos un ambiente tranquilo, relajado y respetuoso. Nos gusta mantener la casa limpia y ordenada, por lo que esperamos lo mismo de quien se quede con nosotros. También valoramos la buena comunicación, el respeto por los espacios compartidos y una convivencia armoniosa. Somos smoke friendly, pero siempre con consideración dentro del espacio.
